Cool stuff! This is from the email blast!

Charlotte, N.C. (October 18, 2013) – Caesars Palace Las Vegas has hosted some of the greatest entertainment acts in the world – from Evel Knievel, to Frank Sinatra and Celine Dion, to the Formula One World Championship events in 1981 and 1982. On Thursday, November 7, 2013, taking part simultaneously with the automotive industry’s premier trade show, SEMA, Las Vegas history will once again be made as the SPEED Energy Stadium SUPER Trucks™ event (SST) makes its way to Caesars Palace on the Las Vegas Strip.

The race track for this special one-day only event will be constructed in front of Caesars Palace. High-flying SST trucks will propel past The Colosseum and through the Caesars Palace marquee. Fans will be thoroughly entertained as the high horse-powered SPEED Energy Stadium SUPER Trucks battle door-to-door, drifting around the seven-turn asphalt racecourse and flying over specially constructed metal ramps.

This event is open to the public. Tickets can purchased onsite at Caesars Palace or in advance at http://www.stadiumsupertrucks.com.

An event at Caesars has long been a vision of series President, Robby Gordon. The unique form of racing that SST offers was immensely popular more than 20 years ago – known then as the Mickey Thompson Off-Road Championship – and fittingly Gordon, one of the world’s greatest off-road racers, has brought it back to life.

“Bringing SST to Caesars during SEMA Show week, the world’s most premier automotive specialty products trade event,is something unheard of,” said Gordon. “We would like to thank everyone at Caesars Palace and The Forum Shops at Caesars for giving us the opportunity to present a race like this. Getting to race SST trucks on this property is something phenomenal.”

“Through the years Caesars Palace has always set the standard and continually raised the bar on the Las Vegas Strip,” said Caesars Palace Regional President Gary Selesner. “An event like this is special because it pays homage to the historical attention-grabbing events that Caesars Palace is known for – like Evel Knievel and the Formula One races, yet also brings forth a new element of exciting entertainment for our guests. We are thrilled to welcome SST with this monumental event and encourage locals and race fans alike to join in on the action.”

In addition to the SST lineup, USA Pro SuperMoto and Modified Trophy Karts will be competing with a full program of qualifying and main events.

On the day of the event, access to the valet at The Forum Shops will be limited.

I don't think the season is over yet...........

Maybe. But three weeks from the supposed date for rumored Glamis event and still no announcement. I am willing to bet that was the last event for the season... and what better place than under the lights of the Vegas strip with our guy regaining the points lead to win the championship. Would be a good story if NBC Sports can play up that angle (just saying)... and why not.. Robby did win the championship. Would be a good lead in to NBC Sports' coverage of Dakar ( which I assume they are covering again this year).

well either way I hope to be at glamis

I never said that I thought the SST truck(s) wouldn't be at Glamis, I just don't think there will be a sanctioned race. But you better believe that they will show what they can do out in the desert with these trucks if they end up down there like last year.

BTW Did I mention that Robby won the SST championship last night?

I am not so sure that Robby winning the championship in his own series is going to please everyone. A lot of people feel he had a major inside track to winning by having so much time in the cars. Many dozen hours more than the next guy. We're a little biased in this group, but I am sure there will be trash talk for few days over at RDC.

I agree that there will be fallout from that situation but it wasn't a gimmie by any means. It's not like Robby is just some hack racer... besides, if RG is gonna put up the capital for the series, isn't it right that he get the opportunity to win some of his money back?

I'm not justifying anything with this comment. RG did add to the rule book to allow for a substitute driver. That is how Rob Mac held the points lead after miss all three Costa Mesa days.
All I can say about RDC boards in general is,damn I thought Late Model guys where whiney, self center'd also ran's mostly,no different there.

Late Model guys are just as whiney, probably more so.

I'm thinking they're NASCRAP fans ROTFLMAO
SORRY GUYS JUST HAD TO GO THERE
:~D

No shit.

Hey Robby was the class of the field and we all know that. The guy is über talented in any race car. But, I hope he has some more competition next year.

To me this whole season was just a prerun for next year or maybe even 2015. Robby needs to get his schedule firmed up and out there ASAP so the the drivers know when and where they need to be. I think there needs to be a higher car count at the races. To me 9, 10 or 11 cars is not a mega event. Robby was going to build 20+ trucks and he needs to find a way to really do that. With the higher car count I hope there is a higher level of driving talent. I would like to see another stadium race or two. And I would really like to see a race or two as part of a Sprint Cup weekend with a few NASCAR drivers behind the wheel. I think it is a must do honestly.

Something I feel very strongly about was Robby being willing to let a substitute driver earn points for the diver of record. This is pretty much unheard of in auto racing, maybe totally unheard of...... But brilliant on his part. His thinking outside the box can make this series great.

'Robby being willing to let a substitute driver earn points for the diver of record'
Late Model Challenge Series had this rule all the 2000's,just say'n.
@Bruce , as I understand it, truck count had nothing to do with number of available trucks.
no-shortage
The only problem with stadiums is the rental fee, huge. It might be a crawl, stand, walk, run deal.
Stadiums' is going straight to running,IMO
JJ Yeley is good axample. His was going to run the series, than Tommy Baldwin pimp'd him to run Cup.Have you heard Yeley's name at all in a CUP broadcast?
