I agree! Burton sucks, but he brings in the sponsorship money.

Burton is only keeping the seat warm for one of the Dillon brothers

+1.

Well if you remeber daytona 2012 media day robby said he likes to compete in the top series of racing, well sprint cup is the top series with the most reach to fans, only would make some sense to try and make the biggest race of the year but than again got to keep going where the money is at and the potential for growth.

I may be a fool, but it's what I do best. I'm not giving up hope for a return to NASCAR. Keep the faith all.

NASCAR: 5 Former Stars We Want to See Make a Comeback

We'll admit it: We miss Robby Gordon from the Sprint Cup Series.

Due to a variety of factors, including insufficient sponsorship and starting his own brand of energy drinks, Gordon has been a virtual ghost on the Cup tour this season, having made just three starts.

But that doesn't mean the 43-year-old has been idle. He's still racing a lot—just not in NASCAR. He's still a big off-road racing participant, as well as in endurance events.

And while Gordon only managed three wins in 396 career Sprint Cup starts, the sport just hasn't seemed the same without the colorful and sometimes brash Californian.

Given his age, Gordon still has time to come back to the Sprint Cup Series, hopefully on a full-time basis next season or in 2014 if he can get the right amount of sponsorship, great equipment and equally great people around him.

Of course, that's what he's been looking for years, but we would sure love to see him finally put together a great year, especially since his best season finish ever was 16th in 2003.

If Gordon were to miraculously return and have his best season ever next year, he'd likely throw a celebration party that would last a week.

Interest column, since Robby is the only driver mentioned that isn't racing Stock Cars currently.

I wouldn't put too much stock into the article . Afterall its some of you who critiqued my NASCAR vs WWE wrestling comparison . Well here's another article from the same people

They're not by the same people. The NASCAR article is by Jerry Bonkowski whereas the WWE article is by Andy Soucek. The Bleacher Report site itself is a Sports Blog that covers a wide variety of sports by articles from mostly volunteer contributors (some are actual Journalist, some are wannabe Journalist & others are just traditional bloggers), but yeah all the articles on there are basically independent blog post.

Jerry Bonkowski (the guy that wrote the NASCAR article) has been writing NASCAR articles for 30+ years for places such as ESPN & USA Today, he is an actual Journalist. Whereas Andy (the WWE article) is just a WWE fan who blogs on the site and is not a Journalist at all.

Checked it out and was intresting, then I went to the 10 best tracks to watch. Take that NHMS haters, to look at bad TV coverage for bad racing. And now I'm off to number 4 on the list

Speaking of the 2013 Daytona 500, Brian Keselowski is trying to get the funds together to give it a shot this year & he's looking for sponsorship. Might be able to get a bargain deal for SPEED Energy logos on the car. He's also talking with NASCAR/Dodge to see if it would be possible to run the 2013 Charger Sheetmetal.

all racers are looking for someone elses money to spend.Just say'n
