Just curious, or maybe I have missed it, but is there an engine manufacturer associated with the trucks? I have seen in earlier pics that Dodge was still on the hauler. What a great opportunity awaits for someone to be announced.

Chevy LS's ,appr 650hp.I'm not reading anything into the Dodge tow rig.If you stop the footage at 3:20, the grill of the SST looks like a Traxxas TRX logo.

Yeah the grill and headlight decals are just blown up replicas of the ones used for the Traxxas Slash . The Slash is 1/10th scale so all they did is copy the decals to 10 times its size and wah-la instant copies . Traxxas does make a Dodge body but like Mike I'm not reading anything into that either . It's cause they made Rob Mac , and Jenkins Brothers bodies and that's the body they run . They don't even call it a Dodge any more its a Mopar Ram . Btw for those who don't know Mike and Mark Jenkins don't only race Traxxas sponsored trucks in the TORC series they OWN Traxxas .

Look familiar ? It's the 1/10th scale decal sheet for the Slash . Check out the grill and headlights .

When I talked to Robby last Saturday at the Sand Show he said all the trucks had LS7s and all are going to look alike and that the bodies are based off of a Traxxas Truck no manufacturer affiliation. He said that the original SST he used at the LA Colisium was a Toyota and he called it ugly.

So SST = COT now?

More like IROC, I'd say. And I think that's a good thing for this kind of series.

@Alan,thats been my opinion from the announcement of the series. The one big differance is the ability to individually tune the shocks and drivers providing their own tires. So that's an inclusive twist on the IROC theme.

Mike with drivers being able to run different tires , do you foresee a tire war like back in the MTEG days ? Back then we had BFG , Goodyear , Yokohama , and Bridgestone . Today we could potentially add Toyo , Kuhmo , General Tire , and Nitto to those 4 . It'll be so cool seeing what kind of compounds and grooving / tread designs they come out with .

It will be interesting,IMO

Any other manufacturers signed up for sure besides Toyo ? Is Toyo a for sure deal ? Will involvement depend on what drivers sign up . Also will all tires have to be a 37 or is that a maximum size and you'll be allowed to run smaller if desired ? I can see all kinds of set-up tricks in play . Gearing with tire size , caster , camber , psi , cross weights , etc etc etc . ( I'm drooling already ) lol

After the bouce house NASCAR affiliation with what seems to be to the naked eye not much loyalty from the car makers yea I know. The Stock car manufacturer thing reminds me of a case of heart burn I had .......couldn't give the stuff a way. Kudos Ku-fa-kin-dos to Robby with the Traxxas deal. ...........and no I don't a remote control car just dreams of having the time.

@MJ, As memory serv's,there was basically two rules on tires.Size and DOT.Tire contracted drivers can use the manufacture of tire they are contracted to.TOYO is Robby's,RIcky Johnson-BFG.as an example.
I don't remember if ,say Ricky Johnson (a FOX SHOX driver) gets to mount FOX's or if they just get to tune on the Kings.
