I'll be coming down from Canada with a small group. Would love to meet up with some fellow planeteers!

Paul, How many races are we doing ?

I see 4 for sure, and Phoenix and Vegas are maybe's too.

I know where were stay'n !! This will be fun. Should be a great turn out in So-Cal.

Four races in SoCal spread over a month? And two in San Diego back to back? Are there really enough fans to support these 4 races in Southern California? I must be missing something. I will head down to the first one in SD though.

Depends how the fans think they do on the track. The preview short race coming up should help. Where you coming from. We'll be at LA and SD.

I am in Elk Grove, outside of Sacramento. I was at all the early MTEG races in L.A., but if I can watch a race in San Diego why would I go to that old shit hole in L.A? Where do you spend the night close to the track in L.A? In San Diego I am minutes away from the Hotel Del and many other cool places to stay.

Bruce,

The hotel Del, stayed there last weekend, what a great hotel, although the Bud Light was $12.50 per bottle at the pool........

I am sorry to hear that as a $12.50 is just crazy. But, as long as the place stays full they can charge whatever they want too. Honestly, the place has always been very over priced. And the rooms can be tiny too. So many great places to stay in San Diego. Not hard to have fun there.

With Fontana only getting 1 race a year, and Irwindale Speedway closed (for now) we are hurting for action here in SoCal. I bet they could run Glen Helen every weekend if they wanted and have a good turn out each week. So 4 dates in LA and San Diego should work. A little more spread out would be nice tho....

I still have a hard time understanding why short tracks and drag strips in SoCal have such a short life? I grew up down there and when young there were tracks everywhere, but not now. Irwindale closed this year and so did the Orange Show Speedway. A track that I raced many nights at years ago. (it was kind of a POS though)

There is light at the end of the tunnel, but not quite in SoCal. Kern County Raceway Park should open in Oct. and it is going to be a very cool place to race or just watch races at.

I'm guessing the 6/8 is somewhere in the STL area...being thats where Bigfoot hails from. Looks to be the closest to home so far. Love to see a Route 66 (or bigger Chi venue) added, especially since TORC seems to be growing well out here. Rt.66 had a killer track for TORC, just badass. Not to mention they have monster trucks there at least once a year too. "Baja invades Chicagoland" had a great reception. "Baja meets Bigfoot" invading....bring it!

Oh, & a healthy dose of orange out here, only stands to help brand expansion also...jus sayin
