Robby filing a complaint against Peterhansel

On the video on the main page top center RG is being interviewd and he said he was filing a protest against Peterhansel for running over the motorcyclist is the river. Its gonna be cool to see what happens with that since it was clear on video for all to see.

IMO, Peterhansel's claim that he could not stop because of strong currents is invalid. Peterhansel could have simply stopped and waited for the biker to clear before entering the river.

His claim of strong currents was laughable... There were 2 riders and at least 1 spectator in the water with the bike. (I think there was 2 riders... ???)... They could handle the currents but frenchy coulnt... Bahhh

I think (my opinion) is even if he stopped for less than a minute after bumping him to see if he was all right this wouldn't be an issue.

I joined the planet because I am a long time Robby Gordon fan and for that reason I will surport his decision to file this complaint.
And why is it that you have to have a vast off road racing knowlege like Nikal claims to have to form your own opinion.
Yes I am from Canada and may not race in desert races but I travel somtimes thousands of miles just to see my favorite driver compeet. It is people like me who spend our hard earned dollars going to these events and buying our favorite drivers hats and T shirts that lets these drivers like Robby do what the love to do.
And frankly Nikal I do not care how much you no about racing because it is not you I am here to see.

nikal once fashioned a race car out of a hanger, 3 lawn mower wheels, duct tape and 2 2x4s, he entered them in the baja 1000 and won the thing... All while his shifting arm was in a cast ( true story)

Vlad while much of this is true the Urban Legend of this story has changed it a bit. In the real story there was a dozen hangers, a metal fence post with the 2, treated 2x4's, 4 riding lawn mower wheels and a whole bunch of race team Steeeekers included with that duct tape to make this whole thing happen.

Philip I am glad you are RG fan and this is why you are hear. TOG considered at one point to start a Planet Nikal site, but after extensive research and marketing polls he found out the only members on that site would be him, myself and my mother. And my mother does not know much about the sport, but she would join for moral support and to help build my fan base numbers. Bottom line was TOG said I needed at least a dozen member to make it happen and I was not able to pay enough people to join. So now I am left to spew my garbage on here.

Robby does not need to stoop down to PH level. This is deset racing. We settle our arguments on the course and not the court. There is always another year. Expect BMW/Mini to pull out too after this year, let see where PH and Nani will find a ride then?

I went on the link below and complaint about the Peterhansel issue, this is the response I just got from the Mini Sports people, I assume we all got the same response.

Hi,

thanks for your request.

The incident has been thoroughly reviewed by the ASO after Stéphane Peterhansel contacted them. The ASO officials heard both Stéphane's and the biker's incident descriptions, and Stéphane apologized to the biker. The ASO then substracted a time of 33 minutes off the biker's overall time which all parties accepted. The ASO ticket has now been closed.

Plus, knowing Stéphane's character and his understanding of sportsmanship he would never ever intentionally risk the safety of another competitor.

Exactly the same one I received. BS. They gave the biker 33 minutes back. Should have added 33 to PH. Whatever.

That's the same thing I thought. If the biker got 33mins doesn't that mean that Peterhansel should have been deducted 33? It's all politics and BS.

Does MINI not know or ASO know that this is on VIDEO and You Tube ? Aunty Peterhansel said the Helper slipped and also he could not see the rider .. Like Cyril Desprate said in Mudgate - He had to help a lot of riders in his interview on TV - What do these guys not compare what actually happened on recorded media ? Who do they think they are kidding? "Thoroughly reviewed" Please check You Tube vid - So ASO says this is OK ! And MINI say this is what a Good Understanding of Sportsmanship is supposed to be ??????? Then Robbies Bumber Sticker is the Only Answer!
