To all the RG fans in the San Diego area - please I need you!

Not sure how many of you know the story of Justin Imhoff 8x.  He is on the Honda "B" team and crashed hard at the thousand.  He has been unconscious since the time of the crash.  He is at UCSD in intensive care.  Justin is only 17 years old.  One of the nicest kids I have ever met and a hell of a racer.  I have watched Justin grow up in the desert.  Here is the latest update from his dad.

Please, please if you are in the San Diego area or know someone who is please ask them to stop by and see him, even if it's only for a few minutes.  Please, he needs you and your prayers.

This is kind of a tough one,, the MRI showed more serious damage than originally thought, so most likely this is going to be a long process.
After talking to Josh Morros' mom (who is awesome by the way) it sounds
like J has a similar injury to what Josh suffered, so obviously we know
Justin can, and will recover.

We were a little blown away after the MRI results, but have calmed down
now and are preparing for the long haul. Feel free to visit, starting
next week both Karen and I have to get back to work, and his sister and
girlfriend have school. We have family and friends down here that i know
will come see him and talk to him,but i know that life has go on for
everyone so anyone that wants to come by just go to the second floor
SICU unit and go see him, i know it isnt fun, especially for racers that
think they are invincible, but stimulation is good for him.

I can't thank all of you enough for the thoughts and prayers, Mark from
Racers for Christ comes by every day after work, and he is from D38 and
has never met Justin! There are so many others there is no way to name
them all, its nice to read the board about everything, sounds like J
would have liked the enduro. Kim please post this on the other sites if
you can, it would take me a month to figure it out. Thanks again
everyone, propably the last update for a while, i hope the next one is a
great one.

It would be pretty cool if RG could stop by on his way home from Glamis.
Yea - would be cool. But, does he even know? Does anyone keep him updated on things like this? I am thinking of making some stickers worthy of putting on your truck/car rear window. Would you guys be willing to pay $5 bucks a sticker to help the family with fuel and food expenses?

TOG or anyone on the board with an ear to RG......Please - make him aware of Justin situation.
I would and if someone tells us were to send some cash Im sure some robby fans will do what they can.

Pat
Thanks Pat. I know the family really appreciates all the cards and letters.
Its a little bit of a bummer to see this story get so few replies, but I think thats just because its so heartbreaking to think about and Its just really hard to know what to say. I know most everybody reads it and everyone really cares and wants to help, so it would be really great if we could all take a couple minutes fold a piece of paper in half jot down get well wish and mail it off to the address below my reply. It will have measurable effects for Justin and his families recovery. Here is also a link to donate if it is possible for you to do so. Thanks to everyone for keeping Justin in your prayers! http://jcrhonda.com/story/all/150
Thanks Brett. I also have Team Justin Imhof 8x stickers available. See post here for mailing instructions, etc.

Just wanted you to know youve got at least 100 people praying for Justin every Sunday . I added his name to our church prayer list and his name is mentioned every Sunday . Hope Justin is getting better , But also dont forget to take care of yourselves as well . Dont get run down and try to stay positive . I know it will be hard during this time but also try to take some time to enjoy the Christmas season as a family . If I can imagine Justin like I think im sure he'd want the same

Im hoping that no news is good news , but how is Justin doin ? Please give us an update whether good or bad

Justin came out of his coma last week.  He is not able to speak as of yet but is awake.  He is another part of the hospital where he is undergoing intensive rehabilitation therapy.  Visits are now only for immediate family members.

Will update more later.
