Conway headed to RGM

According to Kevin Conway's Twitter & Facebook status "Headed to the shop. Will have more details for you this week!"

 

Could be a HUGE week for Robby Gordon Motorsports. Montreal this week will add an extra step, but having a new team and sponsor will allow RGM alot more resources, information and help.

Well having another team in the RGM stable is cool. I understand the RGM is gonna do whats best.. I'll be honest though.. I really want to see Robby in the 7 car mostly refering to next year.. Robby (and the team of course) have worked really hard to keep that car in the top 35. Starting the year with Daytona is really hard when out of the top 35.

seats to see Robby in the 7.

From a business standpoint more $$ to keep the doors open is what RGM needed, so for that I am of course excited. Hopefully Kevin progresses to a competitive level, and I wish RGM success, RG is a shrewd businessman. I always thought that RG would make a great track owner or promoter at some point, does a great job with limited resources, and in this enviorment cash is king and hard to get a hold of as we all know to well. Be assured, whatever number they use for Robby or Conway the points from the 7 will go to Conway. RGM will give Kevin better equipment than what he had at FRM. Robby also will be able to mentor Kevin. Keeping Extenze on the car and Kevin in the Top 35 will be the goal (very reachable). They have a +125 point advantage and both the 26 and 38 have to qualify each week on time. Hopefully this will allow Robby to go and hire some quality people for RGM as a whole.

I really don't get the negative responses about Kevin & Extenze. Who cares what Kevin did before now and sponsor money is what makes every team run, regardless of what company it is. If it supports RGM I'll stand behind it.

Daytona is next year, who knows what all could happen before then. I'm sure Paul Menard isn't crazy about the idea of qualifying for Daytona next year either, but that's a long ways off. Montreal & Atlanta around around the corner. We know Robby had a great car for Atlanta. Montreal will be "Checkers or Wreckers" for Robby. Think about it, this is the last time that car will be any good to RGM. It's the old Nationwide car, won't be used next year.

Kurt Busch did that one year...that's IF Harvick wins the Championship..if he doesn't then Paul will have to qualify or race in...unless Rcichard finds a way to buy the points from on e of the RPM teams closing up.

Zoom - patience. Just wait for him to make his announcements.

As for the NW car, he can still sell the chassis the K & N east series teams.

I'm trying TOG (LOL)...

I understand he can sell the car...just referring to a statement Robby made one year before they switched to the COT at Dega, he basically said the car wasn't any good for them after that race so he was going all out. Just thinking he would probbaly have the same mentality again this weekend.

Not gonna ask who (already know what you would say...LOL),but I would think pairing Miles with Conway would be great for both. You think Robby will go and hire another crew chief for himself?

You gotta be happy with all the stuff happening this week TOG...

I am very excited for RGM. I think it is wonderful what is going on there. Robby will always persevere.
As a Christian Mom the only problem I have is the biggest Robby fan in our home is my 10 yr old son. When ever he wants new Robby gear to wear we've had a tuff time getting appropriate stuff for a young man. We didn't by the Jim Beam gear because I didn't want him at age five wearing a whiskey t-shirt. lol Thank goodness for the fruit of the loom sponsor.
We are thrilled about SPEEDFACTORYTV. Not only do we love to watch it but my son can wear as much gear as he wants.
Can you picture my 10yr old in an extenze t-shirt. Explain that one to him? lol I don't want to. :)
I hope Robby keeps the speedfactory gear coming and in youth sizes and for women too! We will buy it like crazy.
Please someone tell RG to keep the child friendly gear coming. thanks. Still very excited about the growth and sponsorship for RGM. Go Get'm ROBBY!

I had to chuckle at the thought of a young man that is youre sons age with a Jim Beam or Extenze shirt on, very good points you bring up. I miss the Fruit of The Looms colors myself.

Stocked up on SpeedFactory.TV gear today fpr the whole entire family. I hope it comes in time for Montreal!
going to have to get a family photo in our new shirts.
