Man, Goodyear needs to work on their tire compounds. They seem to always test there and always do fine with it at other race tracks... I think they need to work up something a lot better than what they ran. Sucks that happened to you Robby.

Obviously, this was the tire.....he ran well at the Labor Day Race 2009. I hate the guy cannot catch a break. Give him some time, he'll be back.

it really sucks when he can dominate off-road and get nowheres on pavement. i often wonder how he can keep his nascar operation afloat. put robby in jimmie johnson's car and i bet he would be a front runner. ohwell maybe next week

I don't know how they deliver the tires to the teams but this sure adds more evidence to the conspiracy that Nascar has their VAYSs. Ist one of all the drivers, lap 5 of all times, pops on a straight away. Just seems weird.

I misquoted: per Goodyear's Stu Grant:
"Early on we saw a number of clear punctures. Clint Bowyer had a clear puncture in the right-rear. Mark Martin had a punctured left-rear. Robby Gordon had a punctured left-rear (lap five) because he sucks."
