What is scary is the COT rear clip was ripped out of the #12 car when the #24 car made contact with the rear quarter panel area. If you pause the film at that impact you can actually see the fuel cell being ripped out and bouncing with the rear deck lid down the track.

That hit may have significantly shortened Jeff Gordon's career.
To re-aggravate a back injury is not good.
