Both Walsh and Robby seem to be running a very conservative beginning. When have we ever seen Robby get stuck while cresting a berm. NEVER, he is the Gas On guy. Anger is usual expressed when someone is more mad at them selves.. Today is HUGE, to run a problem free day, to get everything clicking (Walsh and Robby speaking with out talking). If this race was won on will we all know The Speed Hummer would make up 20 minutes on this stage. TOG thanks to you for bringing the Dakar to the next level and wishing only the best.
Damn this doesn't bode very well at all. I wish he still had JC with him. But the Dakar is long so lets all keep our fingers crossed.
@Kevin Meyer from what I understand, technically any on course assistance by anyone other than a competitor or teammate is cause for a DQ. Now would they DQ you for what we saw, unlikely. Heck they rolled him over last year. But I can see course workers who have been told the rules, initially not allowing any assistance, and this might have been what happened, if in deed there was some delay in getting the help.
Very nice from Eurosport. I think these guys do a great job. I prefer this male announcer over the girl, but she does well too. No complaints.
No way is this over. Peterhansel had a flawless day. How he does it is beyond me. I anticipate the RG coverage thinning out if Robby does not start winning.
Urnult - He is going to need many stages of top finishes, which we all know he can do.. a LONG way to go.
maan' i was so sad when he got stuck in the stupid sand... : (
oh well, still we can see RG and his hummer,
podium position is out of the question right??
What was this about I heard the officials wouldn't let the crowd help push him out right away?
The helmet was sliding of the dash, he just tossed it to the codriver before he got his belts on. Out of contect, people make up shit.
