He will win despite the French trying to stick it to him!

This seems to me that it guarantees a win for someone other than RG yet uses him for huge publicity.

Interesting to note that back in the early 1940's Peterhansel's grandparents along with the rest of the French community were eagerly cheering the sound and rapid arrival of the loud, American built V-8's. Just saying...

If the ASO were smart and wanted to save face on this whole ordeal, they should have done this in such a manner that would not have upset or at least tried to the chemistry of the team. Right now, unless they have good proof (which we may not know of) they are tarnishing the goodwill of the great Dakar Rally the way we once knew it, turning fans and competitors away.

I want RG and TEAM Speed to win, but I also want to see them get all the glory they deserve at the end of the rally, not pending a decision 3 weeks after the event - that would SUCK!!!!

The ASO should be extatic that the competition in the car division is so close with a 2wd and 4wd - the fans are loving it and they're getting a lot more attention from North America. RG's a clever guy and knows the rules through and through.

Everything was signed off at scruitineering.... so if there is something out of whack, why didn't they catch it earlier???

Sorry, I'm just bummed about this and that Nasser had to leave without supporting the guys who brought him to the rally.

Robby is fast enough to have lead this stage start to finish, but I think it's difficult to fly as he does AND navigate car #1. I would love to hear from JC about what it was like to be the lead navigator. No slight intended towards JC either. The Baja champ is no beginner when it comes to reading the desert. I have no idea what he is navigating in these large dunes anyway.

Come on JC, make a video for us. Tells us all about it.

Ok. Take a deep breath:

What in the hell happened? They judged, mid-stage, that the induction system is out of spec? This is after they passed it during scrutineering? I mean, what is it about this that I can't get my head around? I guess I'm just in the dark, and wondering. This whole thing makes no sense to me. But I'm trying to think logically, and that may be the problem. WTF is up with the ASO? Guess it's all about PH winning...

Regarding Nasser you herd RG "HE" Nasser chose to quit...for all of you that thought that Nasser brought something to the team here is your answer. This what happens when you don't have a vested interest in the program. Nasser bought his way on "with is helmet bag" and had no intention of being a team player. He may have a great driving talent but as a person I have lost all respect for him.

Nasser is part of the new "elitist" generation if things don't go his way they quit and blame it on someone or something. You all know by the videos posted that he didn't respect the equiptment. Most of you here marveled on how fast he drove. I say he got what he deserved a....DNF.

Good Speed Tomorrow Robby

I pary you win and make them try to take the trophy from you.

Didn't help matters that the commentator sounded just a little like he was a member of the peterhansel fan club!
