Yes he has. The Rumerosa summit was used twice before. Late 1970's and mid 80's. RG would have been pretty young.

But the upside is the guys starting first will back up to Robby,offsetting the bad draw. As Robby said in that SEMA interview- he's driven this route before.

Accodring to his interview at SEMA, RG said his team would not need to make 3 point turns. I find that hard to believe watching this video.

As an aside, it looks like being stuck behind a slow car or truck could cost you alot of time, the bad starting spot Robby got might contibute to that happening.

Although the course is shorter 643 miles versus 1000-1200 miles, this is one of the tughest courses in years. I am really concerned about the TT and Class 1 cars in that section. Cam Steele and Pistol Pete have been pre-running last week and they said it is gnarly in that canyon. One mistake and you can cancel the race.
