Last Year X-Raid had 9 Race Cars but that was not for any other reason other than to win...keep in mind Monster only had 4 Cars the rest for Clients of X-Raid.

Hendricus, Robby can break anything or not.Robby-proof is an old saying.IMO, going to the Albin's was going to have it's own development curve, and sometimes one can snooker'd by instant success as RGM did.Now weak link's are showing. And they are solvable issues.I recalling being told Robby's SST needed the least amount of work last season,of all driver's.
Bryce Menzie.Last year his GRC Dodge was prep'd by the guys here in Snoqualmie Valley by DirtFish rally. His teammate was /is Travis Pastrana.According to the guys, thank the racing god's Bryce was easy on equipment because Travis can and does ruin everything.Quit the mechanic and parts whore, notice they're no longer in the series?

Guys didn't mean to open the shit gates ! Just meant that Robby DOES drive harder than most but that's just his style . Part of the reason RGM has to make such tough stuff is for that very reason . Robby drives balls to the wall all the time .

Do you guys really think he's tougher on trucks than the other top competitors? I just don't see how this is possible. He's a seasoned vet. He owns and builds his trucks. He races Dakar. He knows the "total cost" of being an impassioned fool behind the wheel. Note how well he did the year he won BITD, in the RPM truggy. I wonder in my speculations, if RPM kept Robby in a better prepped car than RGM preps for Robby. You can call it racer's luck if you want to, and I get that. There is a ton of luck involved. I comment not be critical. I'm not a naysayer of RGM. I'm a fan. RGM has the know how - of course they do! I just think that budget forces them to prep as they do. This may sound critical, but I don't mean it that way. I mean it as matter of fact - hard, speculative, pulled from my ass facts! :) This is who we are, no illusions.

@Hendricus Way too many assumptions to come to that conclusion. We know the RGM shop produces quality (Look at the SSTs). Most of RGs recent DNFs have come from parts not made in-house. I agree @MK. RG is tough on trucks, what I'd give to see that video from the 2009 San Felipe 250...

One man's cruise (calm) is a nother man's frantic.

I don't know how you run up front in off-road racing, and not be tough on equipment. I bet if you rode with Baldwin, Menzies and Robby in their TT's you would see that they all push their equipment about the same. But then, Menzies commented in the last 500 that Robby likes to cruise, when he's out front. Of these three, my bet would be that Robby is the most sensitive to not beating up the truck. If I'm right then, the question then is, why does Menzies have the best record of race completions (recent 500's and 1000's)? His trucks must be better prepared, which translates to more frequent part replacements, which translates to more money dedicated to the race effort.

So if this test was at Parker , what caused the damage at the Baja test . Was it just Robby's heavy foot or did something just fail ?
