NIKAL,
The end cap pulled out of the shock because it came loose. I was ordered to cruise the truck around and not spit the drive shaft out like Dale Eberts did the day before. The video you see of me going soo slow was after the sock came apart.

I'm guessing the reason they broke a shock tower is because Steve was running to slow. No kidding Both Robby and Andy McMillin have said you need to run the truck wide open on top of the whoops. If you slow down and run in the holes you will brake the truck. Looks like that would be why he broke the truck. Ran in the holes and not on top.
