Good thing Robby is pretty solidly in the Top 35 in Owner Points then. That 305 point cushion over 36th is nice. But he still has to be careful on race day when Scott Speed is in the field. As long as Robby can finish ahead of Scott more often than not, Robby will be just fine.
Joan, the #204 car owned by Robby is the #04 Jim Beam/Menards Toyota that PJ Jones ran at Sonoma (and finished last). WIth that team being entered after the deadline (the deadline something like 13 days before the race), it was not eligible for owner or driver points.
Love or hate Kyle, I didn't like the way the race ended. I know there are people who only want to see the wrecks, but I want to see a race. Not fond of rain forced endings either. Sometimes it is just hard to get into it anymore.
Hope you have a great week!
I'm with you on the pit road thing, but they need to look at the overall behavior on pit road, I remember when they didn't have a speed limit when they came in and it seems less people were getting hit (not that it matters) but it seems that every week there is at least a close call if not someone hood surfing on pit road. Hope you are feeling better!!!
One day we will get to meet. Where there is a will, there is a way! I see lots of races in the "gangs' future. I hope you have a great holiday as well. I really hope you next appt. is going to bring you some good news. Take care of yourself and keep me updated. Love to you as well!
For some reason Robby just can't seem to get his shit together in Sonoma! It has nothing to do with his driving but he needs to stick to strategy and not try to mess around! it bites him every time! As for him not talking to his CC, that's far better than to hear him tear him to pieces over the radio. I have heard him do that to a CC and it's not pretty!
Uhhh Joan, did you read Path's blog??? I ask because I was there at the House of Mouse!! WE HAD A BALL!!! AGAIN!! Thanks for visiting the page and know I am hoping they finally find out what is going on with you. Take care!
Hi Joan:
It has been a while. Just wanted to wish you a happy mother's day before the day is over. By reading your messages here, I see that you are having some health issues -- I hope you are feeling better soon.
I guess the last race didn't helpto raise your spirits :( I was out and put the race on the car radio and was disappointed to hear that RG was 2 laps down early. No need to go home and watch after I heard that!
I look forward to hearing from you soon - take care.
Hey Joan!! Thought you could use a Robby photo. See the banner in the background? I have the one behind it (same banner) for my big souvenir. Robby signed it for me with xoxoxox's as I had to fight for it. LOL!! He treated us so well as he always has. We got a lot of other things from him as well. I hope you get to meet him one day. He is really good to his fans. We had a great time at the races. No we weren't near the crash. I have seats on row 50 so we were well away from any debris. I taught Mouse how to do the autograph lines so he could meet a lot of the drivers. Gibby and I taught Path about "sweet tea" southern style. Gibby showed Path the art of meandering too.
Hope all is well with you!!
OK...I got it now. The Driver's Rating Standings (DRS) list is a totally different structure than the Driver's Points Standings (DPS).
The DPS uses the traditional points system (each position has a set number of points) and lists the drivers by how many points they have accrued through the season.
The DRS uses a different system and is akin to the Quarter Back Rating in football. It is a system that uses a formula that uses Wins, Finishing Position, Top 15 Finishes, Average Running Position While on the Lead Lap, Average Speed Under Green, Fastest Lap, Led Most Laps, and Lead Lap Finish to determine a rating for each race individually and then averages those numbers (after the first race) for their rating. So, while Robby has finished higher than Paul Menard in each race so far, if Paul can stay on the lead lap longer than Robby (and have a better running average) or have a fastest Average Speed Under Green, or have a faster Fastest Lap, he will have a slightly better driver rating than Robby. If I can dig up the numbers from each race, I will post an example using Robby and Paul.
