HI Mario - just checking in to see how you are. I saw the interview of Robby on this main page about the fine and points deduction. He said he would not appeal because he didn't want to piss NASCAR off. If they ran that wooden part in the race last year at Darlington, I don't understand why it was such a BIG DEAL this year. Even though John Darby said it wasn't a big deal - Robby though it was. It seems they always pick on him. Keep in touch. Joan
Hope you liked the joke - from time to time CLara sends a good one. I wish I could attach some of the funny things she sends to my friends at the planet. Just got one about ducks and St. Peter but you really have to see it. Thanks for your knowhow on points, I am not the math whiz you are. Robby has 7th starting position for Baja that should be a good start, I'm sure he can move up pretty quickly from 7th. He passes on dirt better than he does on the track. Keep in touch. Joan
After landing a new job at Wal-Mart I lasted less than a day. 2 hrs. into my 1st day, a very loud, unattractive, mean-acting woman came into the store with her 2 kids. Yelling obscenities at them through the entrace, I said "Good morning welcome to WalMart. Nice kids you have there are they twins?" The woman stopped yelling and said "Hell no they ain't twins. One's 9 and the other's 7. Why the hell would you think they are twins? Are you blind or stupid? So I replied, I am neither Ma'am, I just couldn't believe someone slept with you twice. Have a good day, thank you for shopping Wal-Mart." My supervisor said I wasn't cut out for this line of work. - Joke from Clara in FLA.
Hi Mario - haven't heard from you. Have you been following the races? Hope you were not bothered by the bad weather, the south really got hammered. Question for you - In the last two races Robby was 26th & 20th (20th unofficial still as of 11:00 a.m. today) However, he has not gained points positions, and when I checked the owner points he was still 36th - how could that be with two good finishes the last two races. I would have thought he'd come up at least one into 35th. I hate to see him have to race his way into the field. Hope you are well, how is the Target job going? I have a funny joke about Wal-Mart, if you want I can put it here or elsewhere. My friend in Florida sent it to me via e-mail. Take care, answer when you can. Fondly Joan
Good to hear from you Mario - Go to the main pg. of the planet and the Dakar area - the book is there with prices and a 15 pg. preview - which is pretty cool. It's about the 2010 Dakar Rally with photos - script is by Robby. So you are now west of PA - I'm near Phila. Went to Pocono race in 2004 did not like the people at the track very un-helpful to people not familiar with the track. Food sucked. My bosses paid for my daughter & I to go the whole weekend, I wish the experience had been better and I never got to meet Robby because he cancelled his autograph session. He was in the Bush race and was delayed by storms, so he got to Pocono at 4:00 a.m. and was lucky to be awake and fresh for the cup race. Any way good to hear from you and keep in touch. Joan
Hey Mario my math whiz - how are you? Haven't heard from you in ages. What is up with you, what is the 90 - 09 car on your page? Hope you are well and doing fine. I am still rooting for RG, and he has a book out, not sure I'll purchase or not, $45 price is a tad steep. I know he nees the cash. Hope it does well. Take care of yourself and drop in and say "hi" every once in a while. Joan

Hey Mario . Good to hear that life has been treating you good . I knew the holiday season would be rough for you and your family . I'm glad that you all made it through , and I bet that picture will have it's own special place on the wall , or perhaps a mantle .
I also hope next year is better, for a number of reasons . Dakar is almost here , and I am ready !

Hi Mario , just thought I'd stop by and ask you how life has been treating you . I hope it's been treating you well .
Hey Mario - Long time since I've heard from you. Hope you are OK Still rooting for Robby - he actually led a lap at Dega - I was so excited to see him in the top 10 - then the crash and it dashed my elation. Joan
We will see what happens, Looking back in my files on 7-8-08 Robby posted a Chicago Preview (probably had a bad finish - there is no post race info in my file). He does not post a post-race report if he crashed or something went wrong. I saw tlast year he had a 6th place in the Dayton race in July. Joan
Thanks for all your info Mario, I am cleaning up my page so deleted some -but did print out hard copies before that. Don't want to lose the valuable stuff you put on my page. Hope the summer is good to you. Robby's qualifying for Chicago yesterday was the worst he has done all year, he starts 41st OUCH! I didn't even notice the Beam entry at Sonoma, how dumb am I??? I sure wish Robby could do better - if he drops below 35th his qualifying won't get him into the show, yesterday he downright sucked. Joan
Hi Mario - I was checking the owner points - seeing who Theresa had left. wonder if she will fill the #1 or park it. Anyway, at the very bottom there was Robby's name #63 Car #204 0 pts. 1 start. I don't know when he put #204 in a race, but it was interesting. I wish he had enough money to bring back the #55 in the Nationwide series. Hope you have a good week, we are having nice weather for a change. Joan
Hey Mario my points man - question -- How come Robby is still 34th even with a 22nd finish at Daytona. I know the previous week was a disaster, but I thought his 22nd would bring him up. Just wondering. Joan
Sorry to hear you lost your Dad. We all go through this and it's hard. My boss lost both his parents in the last 2 yrs. to lung cancer. The hardest funeral I went to was this April, one the associates here in the office lost his 17 year old son. A parent you exepct to lose someday, a 17 year old boy was most difficult and his Dad will neer get over it. Chin up, I lost my Mom when she was 42 and I was in my early 20s, so I know what it's like. Chin up take one day at a time. Joan
Oh you are a genius!!! Thanks, I'm printing that out in hard copy. It helps me figure out what's going on. I thought Robby did a good job, although at one point he went from 24th to 35th & I don't have a scanner so I have no clue what happened. He did get a good finish after that adversity. Joan
What A Great Restart For Robby Yesterday To Bad He Was More Than A Lap Down. That's Pretty Bad That Kyle Busch Couldn't Keep Up With Him For A Little While!!!! What A Bad A** Robby Gordon Is. He Also Didn't Let Kevin Harvick Pass Him.
Well I know they get bonus points for leading laps, and so many pointsfor this and that. How to keep it all sorted out, I leave to NASCAR. (Not that I trust them all that much - I think they are biased). And it seems that they always find a way to throw a caution or something so that the Hendrick people, or Edwards get their laps back. Anyway, I'm glad Robby is 29th and hope he comes up more after Bristol - if he doesn't hit the wall or get caught in the BIG ONE Joan
