PlanetRobby Fan Club Meets in 'Dega!

The PlanetRobby fan club held another one of its meetings in Talladega, AL. The usual suspects were in attendance (Ms. Gibby, Path, Mouse and Sarah). The meeting was held at the Montana Saloon and Grill located on I-77, 2 miles from the track.

The members enjoyed a lovely meal before some indulged in Jim Beam Black.

Path made sure to guard the car before Robby got there.

Robby Gordon was a little late as usual, but made up for it by posing for pictures with the fans at the Jim Beam Toyota show car.

Shortly after that the Jim Beam/Operation Home Front bus arrived with the Jim Beam executives.

The Beam Girls were there.

And Beam Boys!

Some members of the fan club were treated to a ride in the street legal car.

Robby signed autographs, gave out hats and ladies tank tops, fan cards and lots of hugs! When I asked him about the lack of a souvenir trailer at the track, he told us it was due to contract conflicts between Checkered Flag and Monster. He told Path and I the trailer would be back at the Charlotte race under new management.
Before Robby left for the night, Path shared a warm hug with him on behalf of herself and the “Planeteers”.

Now I realize this was done with a bit of humor to it, but I have to say something about Robby on a serious note. If you have never met him, and you have the opportunity to do so, GO FOR IT!! Robby is one of the nicest and most fan friendly drivers you will ever meet. He knew who was there as a Robby fan vs. those just stopping by to see what was happening. He is a great ambassador for his sponsors, and is the first to thank you for purchasing/using their products. He will speak and listed to you with sincerity. He will carry on with you with such a sense of humor; you feel you have been friends forever.
I encourage the Planet members to continue to show your support of Robby. We need to show Nascar just how much we respect and support him when it seems like they don’t.

Robby IS th nicest driver and a wonderful human being. He has so many people who applaud his character. The man on Sirius radio, the fan who wrote Robby had spashed him in a rain soaked parking lot amd came back and apologized, the fans who said Robby got their cars out of muddy ruts after one of the rances, they said Robby went around got into the cars and got em unstuck. I am PROUD to be a Robby Fan. Joan
