After the last practice which resulted in blowing the heads on the car I scrambled the past two weeks getting the car ready for 4/18. Several hundred dollars later the car is ready! I picked it up from the shop on Friday and prepped it for Saturday night’s race. Saturday practice was awful...the new rims and tires didn't feel balanced right and the car shook in the turns and on the straight ways. The car was fast and I was hitting my marks until lap 10--- then BANG---blew the bottom end of the motor…ggrrrr…but you know what they say..”they always get faster just before they blowup” It looks like I may be out for the rest of the season…no sponsors, no money and no luck…sorry to everyone that was pulling for me. I’m getting rid of the Olds and getting a Chevy!
