Yep definatly just like a kid . She's another member of the family . She even got presents for Christmas lol .

Cool pic of your 'princess' mj! Have to say I enjoyed reading how much you and zoomsss love your pets. To some they are like children and I see nothing wrong with that.

They do own us for sure... that's not always a good thing.
It's their place on the couch or bed, their pillow and blankets.
I had what I deemed Buddy's "cookie position", out of the kitchen just on the carpet, that's where he knew to be if he wanted his treats. I turned both of them into vegetarians, they loved more veggies than most humans.
I still miss coming home to a house with no pups to greet me.

Sasha is a spoiled lil princess . Has total run of the whole house , when we eat she sits next to me with her head on my lap cause she knows she'll get to lick the plate when I'm done . When I sit in my living room chair to watch tv she has to have her paws on my feet and if I try to move them she'll swat them til I move them them back lol

I guess I have a family tie to Bassetts as my dad owned a Flying A gas station back in the day, Axlerod the Bassett was their dog for advertisement, the statue reminded me of the stuffed Axlerod they had, most everyone in the family had one, and me, never to inherit one either I guess.... I look on ebay once in a while to see if I can find one.
I get the "child" comment.... my babies, pups, along with other assorted nicknames, like "lips" when they both got to barking, little lips and big lips, the combo was usually too much.

... them together not long after she arrived lost on our door step... Buddy was probably 4 1/2 then... vet estimated her at 1 1/2. He had such a wonderful temperament, no sure if it was the Bassett side or the Lab.

Nope Sasha is an only child lol . That statue was my grandmas , it's an antique . It was funny when we first got Sasha she was actually scared of it , now it doesn't bother her one bit lol

I see Bassett statue in background, do you have one? My other baby was a Bassador (before the novelty names arrived)

Beautiful pup, beautiful name...
My little girl was a Sasha as well.... lost her little over a year ago now, at 17.
