Sounds like you got it in race mode ( full throttle , full break , reverse locked out )

Step 1 - connect a fully charged pack and turn on your radio
Step 2 - with the truck off press and hold the button on the
ESC til it turns solid green then red then blinks red .
It will blink once then twice then three times then
repeat
Step 3 - let go of the button when it blinks only once . That is
sport mode full throttle full brake full reverse .
Step 4 - the light will blink then go solid solid red
Once you have that set calibrate the radio
Step 1 - press and hold the button again to get the green then
then red light release the button
Step 2 - when the light blinks red once pull the throttle and
hold it there when it blinks twice push throttle to
reverse and hold it there the light will turn green and
your done

Hope it helps bud its directly from the manual . If still doesn't work I'd call Traxxas at 1-888-TRAXXAS and explain to them the problem . Might be a faulty ESC

Thank MJ and Tooltime. I have had it for just about a year now, but my controller seems to have lost reverse. Any ideas to recalibrate or reset the controller?

Congrats on the new hot rod.Enjoy! Should you have any questions about tech stuff on the rc cars,just drop a lint to mj or myself and others in here.I dont remember who the rc truck fans are sorry guys!
