Thanks Alan, I figured it had something to do with religion, but wasn't sure if it was mandatory per the ASO

When the Dakar ran in Africa, most, if not all, of the countries it passed through were Muslim. Alcohol is a no-no in those countries, so no Jim Beam on the car. I don't know if alcohol sponsors were officially banned, or just frowned upon.

No problem with Jim Beam in South America though.

Anybody know why Jim Beam is allowed on the car this year. In past years alcohol companies were banned as sponsors. in 06 it was Jim Beam Beef Jerkey(added later on)
