For those that were not following Dakar back in 2010 the old "whip" style inflators (as seen in The Premium Group thread) failed several times during some of the early stages. When the whip gets cut the air leaks out. RG came back and re-engineered the system with this design greatly reducing the possibilities of getting the hose cut. RG is constantly refining the Hummers there is very little left of the 2006 or even the 2009 hummer in the current evolution.
