Hi Stranger - had a quiet Christmas.  Watched "Nutcracker" on our PBS station, done in Harrisburg by Ballet Classique of Media, PA (near me - our county seat) and the dancers from Newman Univ. on the border of PA and Del.  It was a nice rendition, I'd like to get a DVD of it.  Got champaign for New Years from my boss, will sit on my sofa and watch the ball drop, then change the channel and watch fireworks from Penns Landing.  Hope it's clear, one year it was misty and the display was kind of hard to see.  Having good weather here - not like last year when we got burried in that white stuff you have to shovel.  Have a good New Year, looking forward to updates on RG Dakar .  Love Joan

Well, A one dollar part ruins two weeks of racing. That's how it goes i guess. Shame, if Robby were closer on overall time in the final three stages and made the other guys push to stay ahead, things may have turned out differently. asi es la vida. TTFN.

Hi Sarah - Glad to hear from you - oh 2012 is being OK, but since we had new ownership of our apartment building - I could write a book!!! No heat last weekend with temps in the teens - no response until Sat. evening, maintenance man said "i no fix, wait till Monday" so I called one of the TV channels and the 911 and asked if it was legal to keep people in freezing apartments - got heat Sunday afternoon, but only lukewarm finally started pumping around 10:00 p.m. - this place has gotten to be a joke, they are so like "who cares - we go home to our mansions and F--Y--." Lots to tell you, have to go now, please keep in touch. Joan

We just came off Customer Appreciation Weekend, a diamond remount show and Valentine's Day is coming right up. The goasls are big and the store was insane over the weekend. I am truly getting too old for this. Wine has been some comfort...

Hello Sarah, YES, I am "another" year older, that just makes me another year "better"!!! Hope all is well your way?? Kinda slow here, but, really enjoying our "snowless" winter right now. Every day without it is another day closer to spring. My Brother just had a total knee replacement 2 weeks ago, so alot of my time has been spent with him doing things he cannot do and helping him with his therapy. Take care, Love Ya

Working today so will not see anything! I have never been to Arlington but have heard that it is impressive. Probably something like the cemetary in Normandy, France. I keep thinking about our time in Dega! Damn that was fun!

Thanks for the good wishes Sarah - I still have a "gas bubble" holdling the retina in place. Doesn't hurt,very annoying like looking through "jello" - back to work looking mostly out of left eye. Can't lift anything heavier than 20 lb - like a jug of water. Can't do any of my usual things. Had to have someone come in a clean kitchen & bath. My daughter broke her wrist the one day in Feb. we had ice, and had surgery on her arm and is getting physical therapy now. So we both are a MESS at this time. Hope you are well - do you watch NASCAR as much? I've missed a couple because of my health, etc. Are you going to Dega this year? One of these days we will have to get together in person. Love Joan

Hi Sarah - thanks for the good wishes, I have been so distrated by the right eye, still has the gas bubble in it (not painful, but very uncomfortable) like looking through jello and it moves when I do and blocks vision to the far right. My daughter is in physical therapy for her broken wrist (not moving well yet) so we are still in the "recovery ward" LOL. Nice here today 80 degrees. Went out yesterday to go to pharmacies for our prescriptions and we sat on the patio of one of our eat-out favorites, had english muffin with crab imperial and cream cheese, sounds awful but is really yummy - with that I had a gin/tonic and Gail had tomato juice and vodka - she just likes the juice (not that mix.) Then we went home did more PT on her wrist and just watched TV in the evening. I cannot do much around the house with the eye this way, I can do some hand wash, cooking, etc. but not allowed to lift anything heavy, push vaccumm etc. Gail can't either, she broke the right wrist and she is tring to get her fingers to move so she can once again write her name. Since Febrauary it's been HeLL. Hope you are well. Max will be 4 in June, got that info here, he is so cute. Wish Robby could get the $$ to do more NASCAR because the TV does not cover a lot of his off-road racing. Stay in touch. Hope you had a nice Easter. Joan

Work has been slow so have been helping Bro alot and doing things at Moms house as we try to get ready to sell her house. Just alot of red tape to go thru as it involves 2 towns and 3 seperate deeds.

Hi Sarah -I still have gas bubble in right eye, it is diminishing, but still there - very annoying. Daughter Gail not progressing very well, wrist bone healing, but pain is still severe and PT lady thinks she may have RSD, which is the inflammation of the nerves, caused by trauma. She wants her to check with the ortho and see what else we can do. Physical Therapy can only go so far. Gail wants to get better, she hates not driving. What a bummer. Max Gordon is getting big will be 4 in June (got off this site). Wish Robby would win one of the lottery takes with millions, then he would be able to make all the races. I see he got a lousy draw for the Baja 500. Keep in touch - Flyers are doing well, hope they can keep it up. Love Joan

Hi Sarah - Did you check out the video of Max driving his "truck" - he is really something. Maybe he will be the future NASCAR champ. I agree the races are boring. I would imagine Pocono will be the same. There are no rivalries, nothing to keep fans interested. Sorry to see Kurt Busch on probation, now they pick on him - don't have RG to pick on anymore. Hey Sarah haven't heard from you in quite a while, still visiting the Planet? I hope those storms didn't send you into the dark for the 4th of July. We saw photos of VA, MD and NJ. Some NJ residents still do not have power back on. It didn't seem to dampen the shore festivities, although I am sure some detours were met on the way to and from the Jersey shore. Sorry it is taking so long to reply, havent been on in a while. Hawks have had a great season so far, i think the Caps would benefit from some fresh blood leading the program, both on and off the ice.

So the Hawks are in good position to win the Presidents Trophy, I dont know if thats a good or bad thing based on how the past PT winners have fared in the playoffs.

Pretty bleepin' awesome!

Thanks for the welcome Sarah. I've been a fan of Robby's since back in the '80s when he ran the Mickey Thompson Series. Followed him through Sports Cars and CART, IndyCar and NASCAR, with a bunch of Off-Road stuff thrown in. Love Robby!!
