You and me both!! Are you still playing the numbers we all picked out a few years ago? I do now and then. I don't buy the tickets as often as I probably should though. Course, that will be the time they win!

OMG, fat, cranky birds!! I just can't beleive it! We had a bit of a storm yesterday. Mostly rain but a little bit of snow. Nothing to really amount to anything! As least RG made it ino the 500. I remember the year he didn't (2005) and that was sad!

It would suck not to play those numbers and then they would win. Dang factory workers can play the same ones and get rich together, why can't a bunch of Robby fans?? I also don't think it is wrong to want a full time pool boy! At least we have won $4 bucks off of those #'s the last couple of weeks. Training us to spend our money wisely I hope???

Cool, another bird! What kind is this one? It is a nice friendly bird? I'm waiting for the "big" snow storm that is supposed to hit us in the next 24 hrs or so. You guy have some crappy weather coming I hear! Watch out for those damned tornados!

Hi - Hope you are well and were not affected by the tornados that hit the midwest. I am recouperating from the eye operation, still have gas bubble in eye to hold retina in place. My daugher broke her arm in a fall on 2/12 and is in physical therapy - slow going. She has a plate & screws and moving the tendons/muscles around that hardware is a challenge. Still has swelling and stiff fingers. Drop by my page from time to time and keep in touch. Glad to see you are still checking the Planet. Hope you had a nice Easter. All my best Joan

Hey - My eye has healed and the gas bubble is now gone. Daughter Gail's arm is getting better but very slow - she can't seem to get tendons and ligaments to move - I guess it's because of the plate - and her index finger just won't bend enough. She is able to grip things, but will need more P.T. Sorry you know about these things first hand. People don't realize how long it takes to get over something like this. How are you doing? Please keep in touch - Robby's son Max will be 4 in June - he's really cute. All Star race was a bummer, I was rooting for either Matt or Jr. - didn't want to see JJ win. Wonder what the big news will be on the 29th I can't attend, but am anxious to know what RG is planning next. Love to hear from you. Joan

Hey Ms. G - hope you had a great 4th. Hope the storms missed you. The Jersey shore got hammered, and power is still off in some places. But the crowds got down to the shore points and had their parties, etc. Looked like fun on the News. As for me and Gail (daughter) we just stayed home and watched fireworks on TV. We are in a heat wave, so the air conditioner is working over time, can't wait to see the bill (faint). Please keep in touch, best wishes, Joan

I watched the storms from my front porch. You know where I live. If I have wind- then the rest of the city is pretty bad. The damage was randomly spread thruout the 'burg. I lost power Friday night and got it back sometime early Monday am. No damage at my house so I am not complaining. Work had power so I didn't loose time there either.
When you were here, did I show you where the racing tractor trailers park when they stay in our area overnight?? That lot was filled with power company and highway dept. trucks for almost a week. They used our area as a centralized location to stay before heading out everyday to get stuff fixed.
How about you? Did you fare ok?
As for derecho, I had to look it up myself. Found this updated article from yesterday:

Hi Miss G - good to hear from you. Please keep in touch. Your photos of Robby are great. Miss watching him race. Glad you had an uneventful 4th, when it is so dry (same here) those neighborhood fireworks can set fires. We didn't have many this year. The cops have been very vigilant and even shut down some of the fireworks sales tents. We had a quiet 4th, watched the show on TV and the Macey's ones from NYC. Gail's wrist is getting better and she can drive with it now, my eyes are better also, though sometimes, I get pains. Two retina tears in March had me out of work for 3 wks. Have a good summer - after the 4th it goes quickly. I missed so much time, have no vacation time left, but will try to get a 3day weekend in to visit the shore. Found a cute place on line have to call about prices & availability. I'd like a place where Gail & I don't have to deal with noisey people in other rooms. Last time we were at the Inn of Cape May, we got very little sleep the people above, were so loud. A couple of hotels were that way too, one in Allentown and one in the Poconos. I don't need that when I am on vacation. Keep in touch Joan
