Haven't been around here a lot 'cept for the past day or two as I have been in NH, DC and PA. Sorry to see I missed wishing you a happy birthday. Hope you had a great one and the day was filled with fun!!

Sounds like some busy times coming up. I should be in PA for the weekend and then some Planeteers and I are going to the Brickyard the following weekend. Got some free tickets so we have to use them.

He would be a great addition to the team since they aren't resigning Nabokov and need a top notch goalie to replace him . I have a feeling this hockey season is going to be an exciting and interesting one .

I'd be happy with them being either # 1 or # 2 , sure beats being dead last . How do you think the Hawks will do this season with all of the player changes ?

That's part of the reason why I feel this season will be interesting . I figure the Sharks want to get to the final round this season , and go for the Stanley Cup , and the Hawks will be defending their championship without some of the key players that helped them win it . IMO , nothing is a given this season , anything can happen , and I can't wait for the season to start !

I bet it's because of the Kovalchuk contract that the NHL didn't like . I guess only time will tell what the outcome of this will be . If it should be that he would become a free agent , wouldn't you think Chicago would get first chance at signing him again , or do you suppose that wouldn't be allowed ?

The Sharks signed Niemi to a one year contract , wonder if they want to see if he's the real deal , or if last season was a fluke ? I hope he plays for the Sharks like he did the Hawks , the team needs a consistent goalie who can keep them in games when the team isn't scoring many goals, but the other teams are . The Sharks got blown out in too many games last season , IMO , and need to try and change that . The Hawks never seem to have too much of a problem scoring goals , wonder if they will find themselves missing some of those players they got rid of ?

Hey bud I went down to the new penguins arena yesterday.... I went to see chris tomlim who is a christian singer.... I had a great time.... Im looking to the start of hockey season... Congrats on the reds winning the division... Its nice to see a different team win

Just stopping by to say Hello! Waiting to hear how the bowl games are going to be decided. WVU won, but so did UConn. Might get in the Meineke Car Bowl now. My high school team made it to the State Championship, but the opponent(s) have the game tied up in court right now. Game was to be this Sat. and now we have to wait on the State Supreme Court to let us know when or if the game can be played. Such a mess.
I see the 10,000 member is finally here. Didn't seem like a 2nd log on for you though. lol!! Seriously, I bet there were several members thinking of doing just that very thing.

How's the team doing ?Are you enjoying your job as manager? As for going without a computer, when you're my age you find a number of things to fill the void . lol I hear you about the Hawks , the Sharks haven't been that good either, tho they have now won 3 in a row since the break . It remains to be seen where they finish for the season and where they are seeded for the play offs. They recently signed Ben Eager , he's done a good job so far, and Niemi is doing a good job too. I'm hoping they do much better now than they did in the first half of the season. Best of luck to the Hawks and to WKU.

It seems the Hawks maybe coming alive at last, 4 wins in a row. If they want in the play offs they need to keep this kind of play going. I can't tell you how happy I was that they beat the Pens......

Great game by the Hawks , they kicked the Sharks asses tonight. Sharks play the Stars tomorrow night , not feeling too positive about their chances .

Hey! The Alex profile is back! Now that b-ball season is over, what are you going to get into now?

Can you believe that it's the end of the regular season already? Sharks play their last game tonight against the Coyotes. They need to win to clinch the second seed , after losing the last two games , I don't know what they will play like.

It's kind of weird that the Hawks are in the position of having so many variables before they know if they'll be in the play offs or not. I hope they get in, because they're the defending champions, they need to be there to defend it, IMO. If it should be that they do play the Sharks in the first round, lets hope for a great hard fought series, okay ?

As for Vancouver, lets see if that curse has any effect on them, they're a tough team to beat.

Well then, I say , Lets Go Hawks ! Beat the Red Wings, then get ready for whichever team they play in the 1st round. Hopefully they won't be thinking of anything but winning the game, gotta keep their focus on Detroit. Good luck to them today.
