The trip sounds wonderful less the wind. So glad you got to get away for a bit. It was sounding like all you did was work, work, work before this trip. Hope you got some good photos. Take a couple to work and get them out when the stress starts to raise its ugly head again so you can remember how nice it was to relax.

Still a lot to learn or is it the Smarter than a 5th Grader show makes you realize what you forgot?!?! Mondays I watch House and Heroes. I understand Heroes is going off the air. Ticks me off I get into a show and it gets cancelled. Love Survivor and Amazing Race too. In fact some of us had a Survivor chat session like we have race chats here during the finale. Hope you have a great week. Getting ready to meet up with some Planet people in Indy next weekend. Would be more of us if Robby was going, but we can't have it all. Maybe another year.

Yeah, Sarah and Mouse and I have exchanged a few posts but I have been lax about getting here lately. Everyone seems to be running in 10 different directions and we just haven't connected like we used to. I looked up the post you mentioned -- sounds like you had a great trip and GOOD FOOD but that wind! whew! that would be tough! Just watched the All Star 'race' (and I use that term loosely). Never thought I would cheer for Kurt Busch but I was sure glad it wasn't JJ or Kyle that won. Actually had a hard time picking someone to cheer for but it ended up being Kurt when it looked like he really could beat the 48. My traveling buddy has been talking about going to PA in July -- if that happens, maybe we can get together. Hope Robby has a good race next week - he could sure use one (or twelve). Take care.

Well I wanted Robby to win the first race so he could transfer into the big race. When he didn't, I stayed with my guy Harvick. So glad he is staying at RCR.
Still going to Indy and I look forward to it even if Robby isn't going to be there. I will see him in NH when the gang goes on their annual trip to Loudan.

Updates are usually free. I agree you shouldn't do that. Make sure you have a firewall and some sort of anti-virus on the computer. Most come with it so you should be ok. You will want to update the anti-virus as well and do a scan of your computer.

It has been a VERY long time. I hope you are feeling better; fingers crossed. Hang in there with the new computer - they're awesome when they are working correctly, but a BIG PAIN IN THE TUSH when they have problems.
I have been away from the site for awhile -- life just got crazy!!! I have missed many races this season, but am looking forward to the road course this week. Hope RG kicks some butt!
Checked out speedfactory.tv yesterday.......awesome! Have you watched it? Can only view episode 2, hoping to find out how to go back to episode one.

I am with you on the heat Joan! I am not a winter person, and snow is not on my top ten list. Not much on the humidity, but it will be a rare day when you hear me complain about the heat. Now if I could only get my boss to put my computer, desk, etc. outside. I would be happy with one of those tables with an umbrella so I could read the computer screen. They don't call me sunshine for nothing!

Well I was a very happy camper over the race results as my drivers took 2nd and 3rd. All was good until I was awaken by my cell phone going off this morning to let me know Robby was not racing in NH this weekend. (Doubly pissed as this was my first sleep in day in weeks!) Thank goodness my world does not revolve around Robby's presence like some people here. I like the guy, but it is what it is. As far as I know the party will still be going on at the House of Mouse for all of us. From my emails, I will not be meeting some of the new planeteers who were to meet up with us at the race. Oh welll, there is always next year!

Robby's people should be blowing his horn for him. My gosh he has enough to do as it is! Wonder why they don't? We need to wear more Robby stuff to celebrate him too. Difficult when he doesn't have souvy trailers at the track. Got my new Planet shirt to wear this weekend from Tog and wah-lah... NO Robby!!
Now as for the action figure, I would buy one of those! ;) Seriously, he could have a whole kids line of toys with the different race vehs represented. What a collection!

The HOM PARTY will go on without Robby, and that is just fine with all of us, as we will all save some money!!! As far as rooting for PJ, ain't gonna happen with this crew as we will not root for a start and park team! Just the way it is!! I know I will be finding another driver to root for as well as RG!!! Glad to hear you are ok as it sounds like your area was hit pretty hard. Race weekend was great. We always have a good time at NH. This year I think we had more fun without Robby as it allowed ALL of us to do more stuff together besides chase him. The weather there was beautiful, the rain held off, and we had all of our evening meals around a bon fire every night. The weekend was very relaxing and we got lots of autographs from other drivers too. We had a birthday party on Sunday for Jaci as an added bonus. Just wish Cathy and her husband could have made it. She has a new job so no vacation for her. We will do this again and see her eventually.

Home for lunch and like you, I am not excited about the a/c. I have the vents blocked off in my office. The doors are usually open in the shop, but they did close them the last few days for the a/c as it was so hot. It is around 96 here now, but humid today. Supposed to rain later and we need it!
I have Harvick and Robby stuff around my desk as they have Toyota and Chevy logos on them. I would be in trouble if they drove for Ford!! lol!!

Home again from my PA visit this weekend. We tried to watch the race on Sat night, but it was tooooo boring. I would turn it on here and there so I could keep up.
I knew if you kept practicing with the computer you would finally get the hang of it. Keep at it as I know you can do it! Weekend was gorgeous, but now it is time to pay as rain is heading my way. Ok though as I think we really need it. Have a great week!!

Hey Joan!! By the time you are reading this, the weekend is already over so I hope you had a great one. Hot today, but not as hot as in DC. We had the low of 69 degrees this morning in the area at 6am while they were in the high 70's. Aw the beauty of the mountain range.
Was planning a trip to PA, but my friend who has cancer is having a bad weekend and wants to rest. I will go to see her the 31st instead. I will use the free time to get ready for my trip to the Brickyard with some other Planeteers next weekend. Hopefully Robby will actually show up as he has skipped out on us every other race we have went. His loss, as I haven't purchased any of his souvys this year. I know I can online, but I usually prefer to see it in person first.

I listened to the race on MRN on my way to PA and then watched the end. Didn't really feel like it held my attention. It just doesn't have that 'umphff' to it anymore.

In the upper left corner there is a free upgrade to explorer 8. 7 is sufficient if you have that right now. You can tell what you have by clicking on the help tab on your menu bar. The last item on the drop down menu is about internet explorer. Click that to see the version.
Finally, make sure you have the most recent version of Windows. Click on the tools tab on your menu bar. There will be a tab marked Windows update. Click on that and follow the directions. It is free too.

Joan thanks for the thoughts for my friend. She is doing ok after her first round of this series of chemo. She is depressed as it seems she won't get to go to any races this year. She's hoping to get better so she can join the gang next year at the races. We're going to get together in the next month or so to plan our trips. We don't just do Nascar, but we do try to plan them out so they don't conflict w/ anything. A few of us were going to try to do Philly this year, but my friend's cancer put those plans on hold. When we make it there, you could always meet up with us. Don't you live close to Philly?
Never heard if the computer help worked. I hope you get that thing straightened out soon.As for Max, I have seen him before in other photos. He is a cutie! Time will only tell if he follows in Robby's footsteps.

Greetings Joan! I hear ya on the traffic. I live about an hour and 1/2 from DC. I don't mind driving into the city for hockey games, etc. in the evening or weekends, but if I have to go there during the day on a weekday, I take the train. It is really cheap and a nice ride overall.
I hope Kevin can win the championship too. I have always loved the RCR boys since Earnhardt in the mid 80's. Kyle doesn't bother me so much. He's been nice to me when I have met him and I love it that he is winning now he is not with Hendrick. I did NOT think it was funny what Brad said during the driver introductions at Bristol. Kid needs to grow up just like Lagono.

Watching the Montreal race now with the Planet. Hope Robby has a great racing day.

The race was just plain boring until the last hour or so. Just no luck but bad for Robby. Really hoped he would make it to the end. If it had ended on the last lap, instead of the GWC, he would have won it. Had to laugh when the tv showed him walking away from his car in the background. Don't think that was very safe, but it was Robby's way I am sure. Pissed there was no post race interview.
Oh well, the rest of the ending was good. Papis almost had Said. Can't complain when a race puts me on the edge of my seat. Too many races are not entertaining anymore. And it was good. No fights or big wrecks needed to keep us involved in it either. Just some down to the wire racing.

The light could mean just what it says, one of the tires has less pressure than what is recommended. This can occur if there is a difference in temperature. Cold weather to a hot day or reverse. Make sure to check the pressure in your spare if it is a full size one and has a sensor in it. Many people forget the spare. If it is not the actual pressure, then it can be a sensor failure.
I don't believe and I won't believe that Richard Childress is a cheater!! Nascar is boring me. Obviously I am not the only one. DId you see the amount of people at Dover?

Week has been alright. A good friend of mine passed away last Friday. Funeral was today, but it was a good one. I know that sounds odd, but it was a good celebration of life. Lots of laughter with the tears.
I had the race on but only towards the end. Just didn't do a thing for me.
Bet the garage had to order a tire pressure sensor. They aren't real expensive or hard to replace. Sometimes they loose communication with the ECU. (computer) Oh and where I work, Ford is a 4 letter f word. Not a fan here. Have a great week!

Have surgery scheduled for next month so should catch up on all Nascar happenings.
They do this to Clint yet they do nothing to Shrub....... ever notice he try to push probation drivers around like he is king chit, I would really like to see Shrub race in the old IROC series where it all came down to the driver and not how much $$$$ your owner is willing to spend on you.

Hi Joan: Sorry to hear that about the pup. Yes they are both ours we have Odie'A who will turn 5 next month, (Female.) and Attikis who just turned 2 a couple weeks ago. (Male.)
They both have the same Dad but different mom's.

The surgery that I knew from the way I felt wasn't going to happen as they, (Doctors.) said what they seen in the MRI wasn't a big deal until I guess it finally got caught up in the gear work of the knee, and popped like an elastic band. Then after that they turned around and told me what I all ready knew from the pain that I had arthritis in the knee, and know they need to see if I will be in need of a new knee Joy-Joy. :)

Hey Joan! I am here. I have just been busy. Going to take a break this weekend and head to PA to visit some friends, including Planeteers.
I was not a fan of Tim Richmond, but I did watch the show. I enjoyed seeing the racing from the days of old. Another good movie out right now is Petty Blue. Tells the story of how the Pettys got started thru Adam's passing. It is on CMT every so often so try to catch it.
Weather is going to only be 60ish tomorrow, but back in the 70's for the weekend. Good thing as I hate the cold. Hope winter will be warm and fast. Hope you have the heat you need in your building.

You are welcome anytime. It has been good to see Robby in the car even though he has not had the best weekend. Easier to cheer for him than someone else in the car. Glad Harv is still doing well too. Not sure if I liked the fight or not. It broke up the boredom of the race, but just didn't do a thing for me as a fan. Really ticked over the 'punishment' given to Kyle. Don't care if you like him or not. Too many other drivers giving the finger here and there to just single him (or anyone else) out. If I wanted to see a penalty for unsportsman like conduct, I would have turned the channel to football. No consistency at all!!
