You had an earthquake? Wow

I will take whatever you can find...no problem. I am resting and getting somethings done around here this weekend...I have only been in one earthquake back in the early 80's, I was having a bridal shower for my cousin at my parents house and the whole house started shaking and the glasses in the cabinets where clinking like crazy. It only lasted a few seconds. My cousin's sister was stationed in Guam with her husband and they had earthquakes all the time and she yelled "its an earthquake!!" otherwise I would have never known. Don't have them much in OHIO! Have a great weekend! Can wait until next weekend!

Hi Sarah - they didn't mention a quake on our news. How big was it? We havve had a couple here not recently. I was lliving in Wayne and a 4.1 hit it made one bump, but it followed a fault near the Delaware, and some people felt it and got some cracks iin the sidewalks, etc. Then another 4.2 hit in Narberth when I lived there, that really shook us and the roof tiles rattled. I don't know how people in CA can live there. Scary. Joan

Wow thats crazy... I didnt hear about the earthquake... When i used to stay in california with my aunt those earthquakes rattled me... I had a great time with my aunt and all my cousins... I went to a auction in New Stanton Pa early today... When I left I went to Waynesburg and then to Morgantown to look at cars at bunch of dealerships so what a long day... I bet your looking forward to Indy... I hope your having a good week

Im doing good Sarah... Ive been working alot as usual... Im looking forward to the race this weekend... I was wondering if you were thinking about attending the winter classic in the Burg... Im gonna try to get some tickets and that be cool to watch a hockey game with you.... I would even go to Washington to watch this rivalry... Harrisburg is about a 3 hour drive for me on the Pa turnpike... I go to a auction up by there in Manhiem every few months... Its auctully the biggest car auction in the US.... Real expensive vehicles too... I hope your friends health is still progressing for the better... I hope all is well with you...

Nowhere to go but up! Decent qualifying run, so that can't hurt. Always helps to not start in a hole. Just gotta stay out of trouble and out of the way of some of those boneheads that can't turn right.

I'm going to Birmingham School of Law (www.bsol.com). It's a night school. I work for a judge at the courthouse during the day, so hopefully between the two of them I'll be able to pass the bar exam. Still a long way to go before I graduate though.

Hi Sarac\h - well Watkins GLen sucked. Glad I went out and did what I had to do, saw the end where RG blew out his tire, saw PJ was 40 somthing. Hoped Kurt Busch would win, but he had no time left. Didn't even watch the victory interveiews. By some miracle Robby is still in the top 35, but one more DNF and he's out. Painful. Joan

Hi Sarah - I agree the race was not great maybe because our guys were not in the top 5 - Even Kevin dropped in the last laps of the race, don't know what was wrong with his car, but he jut stopped whizzing and began to limp. No, my computer is not up to speed. My adobe is not working like it shoud and I got a message on the internet that my explorer is not up to grade either, but I do not have authorization to buy upgrades, so I'm really stuck. Joan

Thats awesome that your friend is in such good spirits... Shes an inspiration for people to never give up hope... My cousin passed away yesterday... He had luekimia and it went into remission twice... Last week it came back and he died... When I was 15 i went to miami to watch penn state play in the orange bowl for the national title.... He ran a nice hotel and alot of my uncles and cousins came in from california so we all stayed at the hotel... It was awesome time and the memories i will always cherish... He was only 48 but hes in heaven now so thats good... Ive been working alot was in fairmont and morgantown all day looking at cars... I was bummed about the race last weekend but its a new week.... I guess the tickets for the winter classic are going to be real expensive but it would be worth it... I hope its snowing at the classic...lol... Have great weekend

Thanks for the prayers...I just watched that video that you posted... Wow that was sad... Its looks very dangerous being so close to those trucks... I heard about it yesterday but the video you posted was the first time I saw it...I feel bad for the people that lost their lives and their loves ones they left behind... I feel bad for the driver because it was a accident and wasnt his fault... You just never know when your gonna take your last breathe only God does.... Life is short so I try to enjoy it... I got to visit my 2 year old niece over the weekend... I enjoyed that alot... Watched the steelers game on sat and they looked good... I hope you weekend went well

Hi Sarah hope you are well and your PA friend is doing better. My friend Florence in Salisbury MD, had breast cancer and had surgery - so far so good it has not recurred. I left a comment on Baja central about the race last Sturday. It would be a travesty if that accident shut down off-road racing. The Baja 1000 and 500 have run for years, some drivers died, but one tragic accident should not shut down a whole sport. Joan

Of course I missed you!!! I'm not always good about getting on this site but I do from time to time and when I think of it! Still thinking of Susan and hoping things are going better for her. Chemotherapy is damned tough to deal with and if this is heavy duty stuff it will be even more so. This is when her family had damned well better step to the plate for her.

HI again Sarah - to answer your question, I am about 1/2 hr. away from Center City, I work in Bala Cynwyd, on City LIne Avenue and live about 1/2 hrs. drive from there in Lansdowne, PA. I work right across the street from Channels 10 and 6 (TV stations). I don't drive - last night was the reason I take the buses. I left here at 5:02 p.m. and traffic was horrendous - the whole of yesterday was (later on that) and my poor old 92 Merc was huffing and puffing sitting in traffic for what seemed ike an eternity. I didn't get down to my home till 6:45. I would rather sit and do crossword puzzels on the bus than deal with the idiot drivers on City Line. A long e-mail will follow on my day yeterday. Joan

Wow whats with all this hating on the steelers too? lol... I cant help that we have class organizations in PA... Maybe you should convert and follow PA teams (steelers, penguins and penn state) you can be proud when there crowned CHAMPIONS again!!! Lol... I do like WVU and my boss always has a bunch of tickets because of the car lot in Morgantown... I know your a big WVU fan... Maryland is pretty weak so WVU should win... I hope WVU beats Pitt later in the season.... Im glad Harvick one too and In rooting for him to win the championship... About Wed. -My bosses (2 and the new one) had to attend their credits class - and the other was going to a hearing. I was planning to get a lot done - BUT they had to get something notarized and the person was at the Boeing Plant in Essington. So Frank (our inspector) drove and I went with him to get the papers notarized and we were gone for about 2 hours. Then I was e-mailing back and forth revisions and getting faxes ready and on and on. My daughter called and offered to come up to take me home. (I was eating lunch then at 3:00 p.m.) That's when we left at 5:02 and were stuck in traffic. The whole day seemed like I was in cars stuck in traffic. It's been a long week. Hope Robby does well this weekend, he's had such rotten luck. Joan

Hey Sarah - I'm not a "beer fan" either, but we can buy the TEEs, etc. I hope Kevin can hold on for the chase and clinch the title. I don't want Kyle to win - he just doesn't deserve it (he might break that trophy on stage - like the guitar). I thought that showed NO respect for the guy who designed that guitar, having it smashed must have broke his heart. Hi Sarah - Robby will be in the 07 (I think) at Montreal. Have no idea what number he will be driving in the ARCA race - don't even know if ARCA will be on TV. I am going to watch Montreal and hope RG has a better finish than last time. Temp in 90's here, guess it's same in VA - hope Montreal has good weather too.

I know you dont like Pa teams...lol... Im no bandwagon fan either becauase the pirates which havent made the playoffs in 18 years are my favorite baseball team... My favorite driver- Robby hasnt won since 2003 in cup and 2004 in nationwide... Its been one of those weeks my grandmother isnt doing well so watching her suffer is real tough... Im hoping for good finish for Robby this weekend... Im going to the italian festival in uniontown pa tomorrow to eat and watch amatuer boxing... I blame NASCAR for RG's loss, they kept them waiting and one lap extra under caution did him in. It's hard to second guess in the position he was in, but maybe a spash & go might have done it. Joan

Glad to hear from you. Karen and I leave September 7th for the annual beach week with the "Breakfast Buddies" and don't come back till Sunday September 12th not sure if that is the week you were talking about or not. If it isnt would love to get together it has been way toooooooooooooooooooo long.
