I have a supervisor, who i new this year and while the area in where i work is under his supervision he really doesnt know whats going on because mainly i keep it under control. Though he does make the schedule for my area. Then their is the director of food and beverages who was my supervisor last year. So i just went to her after my supervisor gave me the run around and she told me what to do. But since my supervisor makes the schedule i think he will be ticked because i went around him but if i dont come to work tomorrow the place will not be run well.
Lol, fan clubs have to be earned. PJ earned his from all his help practicing and qualifying for Robby when he was off-road racing and then going 3-3 in go or go home qualifying, if Bobby has a good weekend and comes back in the 07 at Indy, we'll see. lol
I am shocked. He played real well in the playoffs especially against Vancouver and San Jose. I dont really care that Eager and Sopel got traded but i am mad that Dustin got traded. Hes a game changer and is good on defense and offense. The Hawks get a couple of early draft picks and some veteran but i didnt recognize the name.
I have my Jim Beam flask which I'm considering filling with something.....Absolute mandaring orange vodka maybe.....not sure yet! Finishing cleaning the house today and tomorrow, and then LET THE PARTY BEGIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Say Hi to Susan and giver her a hug for us!
It's great that you are traveling to some races, I have not been to a race this year, but I'm hoping on going to one or more before the year is up. I do apologize for taking so long to post back, I forget to check my comment page.
Good morning sunshine! Just thought I would check in this morning. We had a great day yesterday, can't wait to show you pictures. Ready for some more fun today and of course, looking forward to tonight!
Left a message on Mouseking's pg. re: our storms. Possible tornado, which is unusual here. Took from 5-8 p.m. to get home - when I got off the bus our area looked like a war zone. Trees down everywhere and on top of cars/houses. The buses took so long because of detours. Every street was blocked by huge 100 yr. old trees It was unbelievable. Our power came on about an hour ago at home, we had power at work, no problem. Joan
Hey have a great time at NH... It was so nice watchin Robby do well at Sonoma last weekend and it reminded me of the good old days... Im at peace with the decision I made... Im goin to service tonight because I have to give a my buddy a ride to the bus station in the morning up to Pittsburgh- City of Champions... Lol... Have a great weekend...
I knew Labonte was a poor choice. It's good he didn't actually get a DNF, but he certainly did not help any in the points. I know you all had a great time, sorry your guys did not win and Burton got screwed, but it was their call. We had terrible storms on Thursday and our place looked like a war zone huge trees down all over and no electricity in all that heat. Had to go out for dinner, couldn't cook. Thursday night was eerie, pitch black, very silent except for the emergency sirens. Almost surreal. Joan
Hope all on your end had a great time! I'm sitting here watching my ring glitter in the sun, Crazy thing! I wonder how TOG would feel if we invaded him in Dover!
Kevin did well last night, and so actually did Robby! I was a little worried about Rob when the "big one" happened but his damage wasn't too bad. The car was a beast all night I guess - at least from his comments it was. Gene was a wildman with the crew as well!
Robby's 12th was sort of a miracle - even with being involved in the big one. Didn't come up in the points though, sad about that. Labonte is ahead of him with 0 top tens and 0 top 5s and Robby has one each. The race was very nail biting and I was happy that K. Busch was out, his brother finished, but did you see that car? Man, I don't know how he drove it Good for Kurt. Well Kevin just opened his lead on the points, I would like to see him with the Cup Cahmpionship this year. Joan
Wow thats awesome... Im so glad you had a great time... We had a cookout at my buddies place... Its always better when Robby finishes good... Im in Daytona now... I left early monday to come down to go to some car auctions.... My boss has condos in Orlando and Daytona... Its nice to take a road trip and get some free time to kick back and relax when I get done from the work.... Have a great week
How many did you get? Are you coming? If so, we have your room ready. Ann & I are still talking about going, but I haven't convinced Jerry we should go yet. I haven't even looked at tickets yet, so you can send 3 our way.
I've been working on pictures. I'll post a link when I'm done. Watching SYTYCD right now. Are you going to be around Friday or Saturday night to chat & watch racing?
The snow was on the top of Mt. Washington! Crazy but true! I'm sure it's gone by now! Pretty hot here right now and hazy overcast sun! I'm really glad the sun is not bright! Beau is stretched out on the rug so he can be as cool as possible! He's taken a liking to the bathroom floor because it's tile!
Hi Sarah - I too love the warmth, I could live on a tropical island without a problem. We had 102 and 103 here - todayin the 90s,but it looks ike we may get some rain. I downloaded a photo of Robby & his Dad at Baja and laminated it to a magnet, I have it on my credenza at work along with the photo of Lil Ol Lady from Pasadena. I also have a 7 on my computer and a couple of photos of RG where they are not in the eye of visitors, just me. Wish I could be outside,it's 72 deg. in here and asit gets warmer, it getscolder here. I have a small heater under my desk for when my fingers turn blue. Joan
T-storms brewing here - office is quiet today. Qualifying at 6:00 our time, hope I get home in time and hope RG gets a good starting position. I am so proud of my self, I actually was able to log onto facebook and get Speedfactory.tv - I froze my computer once trying but I finally succeded. I was even able to leave a comment about the "stiffy car" and food at Waltrips venue. One of these days I may actually be able to navigate the net. Joan
I had a good time in Florida... I liked driving home through WV... Its beautiful state... I went to yough dam yesterday and went tubing... It was fun... I heard a great message at service today... Its pretty cool that you go to all these races and travel alot... I hope your trip to PA went well and your friend is doing better...
Hi Sarah - after Robby smashed into Bill Elliot, it ws pretty much done for me. I waited for the interview after Robby got out of the care center. It was brief, and you could tell how disappointed he was - he just slammed on the brakes and locked the wheels so it would not turn - it was a pretty hard hit. Sorry for Harvick too, his car was junk this weekend. We ar eupposed to get rain too, but it's 90 deg. San Diego is cooler than here. Joan
well today was adventurous! We had flooding just about everywhere. I got my bus, and we detoured, and circumvented, etc. till we got to the terminal, then my 2nd bus also detoured around flooded streets, we went streets I had never seen before. Got here 1/2 hr. late, and Marc said it took him an hour to get here (a 15 min. drive) WHAT A MESS - hope going home is better. Joan
Im glad your friend doing better... Im still praying for her... On the way back we drove through the New River Gorge and viewed the mountains before we got back on 79... Its beautiful... I just got home from Morgantown because we had to move 60 cars from Scott Cs lot on the mileground to Morgantown Mall for the tent sell that starts tomorrow... I hope your having good week
Can't believe we are going back to Indy! Weren't we just there? Didn't we just go to a race a few weeks ago? 3 races together this year, this is getting serious! After all these races this year, do you think Jerry is going to send me to raceholics anonymous?
Yeah, Jerry has a limit, and unfortunately he passed his. He isn't quite as addicted as I am. Daytona, Indy, Prelude & Loudon was enough for him this year. He probably won't even watch the race, so updates won't be necessary other than to let him know we are alive and having fun.
Yeah we did go over the bridge but i would have liked to stop and checked out the scenic view... I bet its beautiful in October with the leaves changing.... Wow your always going somewhere to watch a race so thats awesome... Your friend will be goin soon with you... All the history at the brickyard too... I would love to go there... Im going to one of these races sometime soon. My buddy wants to go to bristol but he always backs out on me...
Thanks Sarah, i really dont announce my birthday, Sherri just has a real good memory, hehe. I will be in and out here for the next few weeks. I have cousins in this week and part of next and then Diabetes camp the 1st week of August
Thats the best way to do it sharing expenses... I liked indy car before nascar so the brickyard is at the top of the list for me... My mom and my aunts and uncles would always go there... Its cool because my aunt and uncles are all coming in from California this weekend and I cant wait to see them... Im heading up to New York City at the begining of August for a mission trip with my friends from church... I like helping people out that are less fortunate... Im ready for the weekend too... I hope everythinggoes well for you in Pa
Hi Sarah - waiting for the weekend, was very busy this a.m., but things quieted down after lunch. I actually had time to look at Episode 7 of Speed Facotry. It's a riot - I won't tell you if you haven't seen it yet - There is a good interview with Robby and his family and what his Mom says about him. I really liked this one. Have a good weekend and I hope to do the same. It's hotter than Hades here, so will try to stay cool, have to take out a loan to pay my AC bill. LOL Joan
Hi...thanks!! I do not have a backpack...was thinking about that yesterday...I will take red or green...or anything you have will do...Thanks so much!! slingback will work if you have any if not...no big deal...You are so thoughtful...thanks again!
I heard the earth was shaking in your part of the country. Here I thought you were going to have to wait until next weekend before you got to start rockin!
