Not too bad a day for Robby , finishing 2nd is great . On to Bristol , where it will be time to get really serious about doing well .

I was feeling good about the weather , till the rain moved in and the temps dropped . Now I'm not so happy , plus my sinuses are bothering me a little . :( As for my brother , he mainly starts from seeds , he does buy a few plants if it's something he sees that he doesn't have the seeds to grow . That's cool that you will be able to plant a garden and not have to do all of it in containers . Sounds like you will be thinking you're in heaven once planting season starts . =)

Hi Lynda ! If the weather forecast holds up , sunshine and temps in the 50's this week ... woohoo ! I sometimes wonder why we need to have the time change , does it really serve any great purpose ? Good luck with getting Kesi to go to bed , seeing as it's only natural for her to want to stay up since it isn't dark yet .

As for the Sharks , not playing too well right now . They've lost the last two games , and are not playing up to their abilities . In case you're interested they are playing Tues., Thur and Fri . They are now on a long road trip , and I hope they play better .

I hear you about the garden , last week my brother worked the soil up a little in ours . He's got seedlings started , and I know he's wanting it to be planting time . It's been such a long , snowy winter , we're all more than ready for spring !

Hi Lynda ! I hear you about it being warm , isn't it wonderful ? I'm with you on the use of wise man , I don't find myself using that term all that often . :) Here's to SC , a one of a kind wise man .

Have you ever heard that the longer it takes a child to lose their baby teeth , the longer they will keep their permanent teeth ? My sister was told that years ago because she was worried that her son wasn't losing his teeth like others his age . I do hope the tooth fairy stopped by and left her something for her tooth . =) Kids grow up so fast these days , or at least that's how it seems . It also serves as a reminder to me that I'm getting older ..... SIGH......

Be thankful you didn't see the Sharks game , they got their asses handed to them big time , 8-2 . I'm hoping they play a whole lot better tonight .

Thank you for the kind words , but you would tell me the same thing if our roles were reversed . You'll get caught up quickly , plus you know that we'll all be at the mercy of the weather . The advice you hear here is to wait to plant outside until after Mother's Day , because by then all danger of frost should be done with .

Come on now Lynda , you're only as old as you feel ! You have more energy than some people I know who are at least 20 yrs younger than you are . Good luck with the working out . And remember , you might be small on the outside , but inside you are much bigger , which I think counts a whole lot more . =)

Boy , I wish I could get free internet . LOL We get ours through Comcast , so it's added to the cable bill . IMO everything is so expensive because of all the new technology that's out there . It seems something comes out and then in a few months it's obsolete . It's hard to keep up to date on everything .

The Sharks game is on Versus tonight and I'm debating on whether or not I should watch it . I probably will watch it , and boy do I hope they play better . They desperately need a win , they're now out of first place in their division . Playoffs will be starting in a few weeks , they need to step it up , now !

Hi Lynda ! No , no new crochet projects , I get to thinking about doing something , but then I get into doing something else , and pushing those thoughts out of the way . I'm glad that it's all good with the gas , it's not a night when you want to be without heat .

It's no wonder you're tired , look how many things you've got going on . It's good that your mom is there to help you , moving isn't easy , nor is it fun . It sounds to me like you need to just get the most important things done , then tackle the other stuff when you have the time . Try to not overdo it .

My idiot brother planted peas last year , but of course he over fertilized them and ended up killing them . Peas are actually very easy to grow , and they do like the cool weather . If you can find the time to clear a spot , you can plant some and see how they do there . If they don't do well , then you'll know to try somewhere else . I've never heard of Amish Snap Peas . I do like the shelling peas , I like to steam them and then add a little butter to them , and then eat them . Yum !

It sounds like Kesi is quite proud of you going to work . Yes , you need to buy a new pair of work boots , an aching back and feet are no fun , and can make the day a long one .

Can you believe it , the Sharks finally won a game ? It certainly wasn't perfect , but they did the little things that were needed to get the win . They are actually back in first by one point , but I think it's going to be a back and forth battle , because I still don't think the team has quite figured all their problems out . I really don't watch any other sports , after hockey , racing is pretty much it .

I know that the weather is going to be up and down until May at least . I just enjoyed that little warm spell so much , I hated to see it go . LOL It was pretty nice today, lots of sunshine . Take care and TTYL ! Sherri

Hi Lynda ! Things here are so-so , my brothers are fighting , they've been at each others throats for over a month now . To make matters worse , my brothers girlfriend is right in the middle of it . Here I was thinking I was going to have stress free days . yeah right . I keep hoping it will all come to an end , but so far , nothing doing .

I'm glad that you at least got to follow the race here on chat , too bad you didn't get to see it . Seeing Robby having a good run was so nice , plus a lot of TV time , not to mention the guys in the booth saying nice things about him . I'm hoping he does well at Texas this weekend .

I'm not sure just what comfrey is , but good luck getting it out of your garden . =) I'm sure your garden will turn out fine , as someone said "don't sweat the small stuff" . They say talking to your plants makes them grow , also playing music for them. I don't know about outside plants , but the plants in my bedroom sure are thriving . =)

It sounds like you are very happy with your new place , and having plenty of hot water makes it even better . I'm glad that you got out of the shit shack . I bet Kesi is enjoying her new home .

Hi Lynda ! Let's just say the battle started because my idiot brother and his girlfriend went behind my brothers back and tried to do something without his consent . It has since snowballed into accusations being made , and lies being told . It's about to drive me crazy. There's also a lot of resentment towards the idiot brother because of the way he acts towards our family. I don't know when or if this will be resolved.

The Sharks won their division and the Pacific Conference , which makes them the # 1 seed . They play against Colorado tomorrow night . I'm hoping they have put all of their past problems behind them and play like I know they can .

Is it possible to ask your landlord if you can do anything with the garden , other than getting it ready and planting ? I can't imagine that you have any radical plans for it , at least not this year . LOL Good luck with getting the comfrey out , and lucky you with all those worms . Speaking of basil , have you ever grown the lemon basil ? I don't know about you , but I love the smell of lemon , plus I like to use basil in cooking . I have to say I've never made pesto sauce .

Don't feel bad about the NYS clay soil , we have yellow clay here that when wet is thick and sticky. If it's wet enough it can pull your shoe off if you're not careful while walking through it . Needless to say my brother has had to add a number of different things into the garden soil so the plants do well .

Hi Lynda ! The Sharks play tonight , I hope they have gotten past the last game , if not it could be a long painful game . Robby's car was slow all day yesterday , they just couldn't get it to handle like they wanted . He ended 5 laps down , that 26th place finish was a gift because of the wreck that knocked Stewart , Jeffy and others out of the race . Without that wreck he would have finished a lot worse . Mark Martin came back from being a lap down and he finished 6th . As for Dega , I don't see why Robby shouldn't make it in .

I too only have a digital box for now. It works pretty good but often have to re-scan it to pick up the channels. Have you ever seen a race in HD it is so different I watched it at a Chili's once.. The comment about your personal assistant made me laugh! We could all use one!

Sharks won last night in OT . They didn't show any signs that the previous game was still on their minds . Cow and I both found the OT period a bit hard to watch , because it was a bit nerve wracking . Sharks are back home for tomorrow nights game .

As for Gene , I understood it to be that he was only going to be with Robby through Texas . He already has a job as crew chief for Mike Skinner in the Truck series. I would think that he'll be going back to that job , as the next race for the trucks is May 2nd .Miles Stanley is suppose to be Robby's crew chief , but with the revolving door at that job , he could have another guy in that job before long . LOL All I can say is stay tuned .

Hi Lynda ! Sorry it's taken me this long to reply , but I've been caught up in playoff fever . The Sharks won their series , now they have to wait to see who they play next . The Avs played them hard , but they just didn't have enough to beat them .

Young lady , you better break that bad habit , as sleep is an important part of your life . =) But , I understand how it is when you're so tired you can't keep your eyes open any longer . I'm sure you'll take care of that bad habit .

How about the race today ? It was nice to see Robby come out of it with a 20th place finish . It really sucked when he got the speeding penalty, but hopefully it was one of those things that won't happen again anytime soon . Mark Martin finished 5th . The N'Wide race got pretty wild , especially at the end , and thankfully no one got hurt .

Hi Lynda ! I had an okay weekend , kept busy with stuff around the house . It is nice to see Robby back in the top 35 , hopefully he'll stay there . Speaking of berries , our strawberry plants are loaded with blossoms , looking forward to the berries . If I get enough , I might make a strawberry / rhubarb pie , as my rhubarb is doing very well also . Mmmm , just thinking about it makes my mouth water . =)

Hi Lynda ! My Monday was spent cleaning house , couldn't go outside because we had heavy downpours pretty much all day , so I guess it was a perfect day to clean . I made it through okay , Mondays aren't as bad for me as they once were . Yes , things have calmed down , for now , can't say how long that will last . :-)

I hear you , and agree about how much it costs just to be able watch TV . It's ridiculous . Maybe when you get the time , you'll get that box to work .

Yes , been getting rain , we're getting a break , but only till the end of the week , as they are calling for more this weekend . My brother already has lettuce and carrots planted , and they are doing well . I think he's getting a little antsy , and is wishing he could get everything else planted . You have to remember that you're farther north than I am , that's why things here are a little farther ahead than where you are .

It seems like it always takes a long time for Robbys shirts to be available. It is frustrating!
I'm glad you like the pictures of the hauler at night they are from two different years after the trucks were leaving Homestead. They were taken at a toll plaza very close to my house (about 45 min. north of the track). The first time the turnpike personnel tried to kick me out of there but they didn't really have a reason why I couldn't be there so I stayed.The next year I waited and waited to catch Robby's hauler and finally it showed up after all the others had passed. I found out later that Randy the driver had a brake fire on the trailer axle soon after leaving the track and that is what delayed him! Randy pulled over after the toll and I yelled his name but he couldn't hear me. Thanks again, Billy

Hi Lynda! Thanks, it's good to be back! Thank you for your kind words , I saw that statement online somewhere and liked it , so I wrote it down in my little notepad so I wouldn't forget it . As for the artistic pic , that reflects my being in a happy mood , though that was from last year. =)

The weather here has been rather hot here too , it's been feeling like mid to late June instead of late May. It's too bad it's so hot at work , but at least you can dress to keep cool, plus you're busy , so that kind of takes your mind off the heat.

There's a Buttermilk Falls here at the very southern most end of the county. There's a small waterfall and lots of trees, it's a beautiful , peaceful place . I haven't been there in years . It was at one time owned by the grandfather of Fred Rogers (the guy from Mister Rogers' Neighborhood), though I have no idea who owns it now .Sounds like you had a great day, but then you came home and found out how bad a night Robby was having , right ? Last nights' race was just too long.

As for things here , my sister is back living here again, her POS boyfriend deserted her about two weeks ago . He got paid and told her he was going to the store , he never came back. How's that for a so called man ? I've already told her if he ever shows his face here again he will be one sorry SOB . I'm waiting to see if he does .

Hi Lynda! Glad you like the pic , I figure it's better to be happy then to be down . Mind you , I'm not always happy , I have days when I'm a grouch. LOL I do make the effort to try and stay positive as much as possible .

I've already forgotten the Charlotte race , of course Pocono is next , which to me is about as boring a race as you could ever see. But , at least Baja is this weekend , so we know the possibility of Robby winning it is greater than his chances in Nascar.

As for my sisters' idiot boyfriend, I don't know if that's the way they end their relationships in SC or not . This is the same jerk who came here and thought he was going to do what he wanted like he owned the place . Needless to say , I can't stand him , he's nothing but a drug taking , beer drinking , worthless POS. If he does come here , he'll be wishing that he hadn't.

I don't want to think about what this summer could be like . I figure we'll either be sweating our asses off , or we'll be getting too much rain , or not enough . As they say , only time will tell . =) Hope you're not sweating your ass off today.

Hi Lynda! My week has been pretty much the same as every week . Those sidewalk chalk pics were awesome , they made you feel like you could reach out and grab them . To have that kind of talent ...Sigh...... The thing with my brothers may never blow over because there is a large sum of money that my idiot brothers' girlfriend owes my other brother . It's looking like legal action will have to be taken . It's a wonder I don't drink to try and get away from all of the crap going on .

The garden is doing okay , something ate the top off one of the tomato plants , some of the beans have been uprooted and destroyed , plus a few of the pepper plants . The likely culprits are chipmunks , squirrels , and birds . It's kind of hard to keep them out of the garden , after all they have to eat too. That's good that your plants are bigger than you thought they would be . With the screwy weather we've had this spring , I think it worked to your advantage . So , you really weren't as far behind as you thought. =) I think planting onion bulbs is the best way to go . My brother always uses them.

Has anyone at work asked about getting those exhaust fans ? They would sure make everyone there happy , and aren't happy employees more productive ? =) You're right , sweating at work beats being unemployed .

Robby always seems to be happier after a weekend racing in the dirt , too bad he can't be that way in Nascar .

Hi Lynda ! I had a pretty good weekend , went shopping yesterday , was at Lowes looking to see if they had any cool looking flowers , but the only ones I saw that interested me were some Gerbera Daisies . They were really nice , but I knew I didn't have room for them , so I didn't get them . =(

I hear you about not enough hours in a day, but all you can do is make the most of the hours you do have . Just think , when you're done your garden will be a labor of love , not to mention all the veggies that you'll get to eat later on . =)

Yes , it was a somewhat disappointing weekend for Robby , but he's a big boy , he'll be fine . There are some here who need to remember that and take it easy on what they say . Geez.....

It's been a lousy couple of weeks on the Planet so I thought I'd try to remind people it's okay to laugh and not take everything so seriously.

Hi Lynda! My week was good , how about yours ? Yes, Robby did get a lucky break . I'm hoping that the team starts making their own luck instead of having to depend , as it were , on others .

Wow , that's a tough thing about the well . Have they figured out yet how it happened ? You never know how much you'll miss something until you have to do without , even if it's only for a short while . I sure hope that everything gets back to normal because you gotta have water .

It's so nice when you get to eat stuff that you've grown yourself , unlike when you buy veggies at the store , you really don't know how safe they are to eat . Isn't that awful ? My brother has a partial fence in the garden . We don't have to worry about deer , it's the squirrels and chipmunks and birds here that are the sneaks that get into things . Those metal stakes are nice to have , because as you said you can take them with you when you move , plus when you're done with them , you can take them out of the ground and put them in storage if you want . They say money is the root of all evil , well it's also the root of a lot of trouble with family and friends . I've learned it's best to not lend family money , and if there's anything to be bought or sold , money up front , or no deal . I learned that lesson a number of years ago , and haven't forgotten it . =)

It's great that Bobby Labonte is going to drive the 7 car this weekend . So much better than being a S&P . I think he'll do just fine .

Hi Lynda ! Yes , it certainly has been busy here lately , hasn't it ? I'm happy to see Bobby get the chance to drive the # 7 , I think he'll do a very good job . He's also on my list of fave drivers. I like the SpeedFactory shows too , I like what they've shown so far.

Wow , Kesis' school must have had a lot of snow days , I bet she's glad to finally start her summer vacation . I love ice cream , and you can't get much better than homemade . Day camp sounds like fun , and I agree it will be a lot more fun than day care .
The garden here is looking good too , there are some tomatoes on a few of the plants , peppers are getting blossoms , my brother got a number of plants that already had peppers on them . Nothing wrong with a little cheating , I guess . lol I bet you're glad that your garden is doing well , since you were fretting over being behind . I hear you about the slugs , we are having a problem with them , plus earwigs and sow bugs , and cabbage worms ,(which is weird because we aren't growing any cabbage ) , but they do like the lettuce . Of course we are seeing the blight again , my brother had to buy some stuff to spray the tomato plants . He thinks he found it early enough to save all of them . I guess we'll see . You better keep an eye on that woodchuck , if he wants to get into your garden , he will find a way . Good luck with that .

Good lord was it hot yesterday , it wouldn't have been so bad if it weren't for the humidity and the high dew point . Same for today . We got some rain yesterday , it's pretty much been hit and miss . Sounds like you really could use a good bit of rain up your way , if not a lot more wells could go dry , and nobody wants that to happen .Hopefully it cools down some and makes it a little better for you at work. Hope you get some rain .

Hi Lynda! IMO the race was as all races are at NH , boring . I think Bobby had some of the same problems with the car that Robby has had before . He I have to admit that I didn't pay all that much attention to most of the race , partly because it was so hot here, and partly because it was boring .=) Robby went to Argentina for a sponsorship presentation . He was making a pitch to get some of that elusive , yet badly needed sponsor money .

I'm more than ready for a major cool down , it has been nearly unbearable for me with this heat . We got more rain this morning, and we just got another shower a few minutes ago . The cool breeze is wonderful . It sounds like Kesi is going to be learning some things that just might come in handy sometime . I think it's great that she will be learning different things over the summer , and I bet she's excited about it . I agree that you will most likely learn a thing or two from her . Enjoy your 'lesson'. =)

With the way the weather has been so far , your plants just might take off and grow like crazy . Some of the plants here are growing very fast , while others are going a little more slowly .

Hi Lynda! Yes , it has been a calm week , which I am thankful for. =) It's good that you can go into work later ,it's nice that you can do that . It's also good that you have someone to help out with Kesi , and that your mom will soon be there . Black raspberries...YUM ! I know what you mean about everything ripening so early, it is kind of weird . I guess it is to be expected, this year so far has been something weatherwise , hasn't it ?

I have to admit that I haven't been paying a whole lot of attention to the races this year , in fact , there have been a few that I haven't even watched at all . It has been very hard to get 'up' for the races , when I know that one of a small group of drivers is going to win . That's not to say that I don't hope for Robby to do well , but I'm too much of a realist to think he will be the one to win . He did come close at Sonoma. As for the Glen , from what TOG has said , Robby will be there, and I believe that PJ will be in the 07. I don't see Robby missing that race .
No rain here lately , but it has been rather cool. It's going to heat up again for the weekend , up near 90.:( As for the pests in the garden , it's a never ending job getting rid of them.

Hi Lynda! My 4th was okay, and no , I stayed home and watched the fireworks on TV . Sounds like you had fun . How's the sunburn ? Having your back burned is IMO the worst place to be burned . I hope you had something to put on it .

This weather is miserable , to say the least. I'm ready for some cooler temps , which is suppose to be on Sat.
