Thanks for the greetings - Xmas was quiet - were still shoveling snow (had 23" UGH). Good thing it warmed up and it's all gone but going to get cold. Hope you have a nice New Year's Eve, we plan to stay home and watch the fireworks at Penns Landing. Happy 2010 - Hope RG does well in Dakar race. Joan

Hi - Hope you have recovered. I fought a sinus infection for 4 weeks UGH - better now. Got 23" of snow then it melted - good because now we have frigid temps and luckily the snow is gone, except where the mounds were - now they are little piles. Still have some black ice, so have to take care on the roads. stayed home New Years and watched the fireworks (mostly colored smoke) they put them off in the rain, so we just saw a lot of smoke. TV coverage wasn't so great this year. There was not a lot of fireworks locally, I guess because of the rain, just as well it was quiet this year. Went to bed around 1 a.m. My boss, Jason, had given me champaign for Christmas, so we (me and daughter Gail) sipped that when the ball dropped in Times Square. Keep in touch - Joan

Hi there - Haven't heard from you in 2010!! We are Freezing in PA - how is the weather where you are? Snow tomorrow - we still have some ice mounds left from the 23 inches we got in December. Adding to our discomfort is the fact that they have decided to upgrade the underground pipes in our community - every street is dug up in trenches - and pipes and bulldozers line the streets - A MESS. Hi - next time you are heading to PA let me know - I'm in the burbs just west of Phila. DO NOT VENTURE HERE NOW! We are still digging and another 12" of snow is forcast for tomorrow night into Wed. We already can't find places to put the 28" we just got. My car was so burrie -! between the snow and the snow plow. We worked on digging for over and hour and thank GOD some good samaritans came by and helped us dig the rest out. Keep in touch, Joan

Thanks for the "song," How is your snow situation! Hate to tell you this but we're suposed to get a dusting to two inches.

I will do my best to send sunshine you're way too. It can make a little stop on it's way to see Sarah. Amazingly the sun is out again this morning, but they are saying to not get used to it, rain on the way with a chance of it turning to sleet or a light "wintery mix" Which means cold wet and miserable. Oh well YOU stay warm and safe. Have a great day.

Oh yeah ! SNOW! We got clobbered - 24" over last Fri/Sat and another 19" on top of that. They said that Philla had more snow this year (actually this month) than in the past 4 years, and we are breaking records all over the place. Another 10 is predictied for Monday. I can't take it, my car is dug out, but it is between two huge mounds of snow. I have no idea where I will put another 10". Joan

Hi - we are getting more snow, ice, etc. Good news? Robby was involved in last lap crash (which they did not show) but he came up in owner/driver points at lest for now. He is 27th, and not 34th or 35th. I wish he could race the whole season. Hope he does better in California this weekend. I kinda enjoyed the delay, because they talked to a lot of drivers and you got to see them (even RG). I am sure a lot of people got bored and turned away from the race, but I watched to the end. Jaimie is such a girl, he was crying in the Winner's Circle. I really wanted either Jeff Burton or Clint Boywer to win. Did you watch? Joan

The free fall has started, he is 31st after that awful showing in CA. He never does well at that track. I think NASCAR kinda bent the rules on JJ getting the lead, there was a caution, he should have been back of the line same as the other three who pitted with him, but NASCAR said it was a green flag stop - YEAH RIGHT! I really wanted Jeff Burton to win, he led a lot of laps as did Harvick. I am so fed up with NASCAR favoriong the Hendrick org. Joan

Hi MG - I hope Vegas is better for RG. The trouble was trash - they seem to always have that problem at that track - it got up under the air intake, the engine overheated and that was it. He can't catch a break. I don't know why NASCAR keeps going to that track, the attendance is poor, the track always littered with trash and despite their endeavor to get "stars" Hollywood just doesn't care. The die-hard fans are getting the don't care attitude too. It's a waste of the teams' money to travel there. Robby fell 4 spots in the standings, what a bummer. Joan

So I see you got together with Sarah, that's nice, (see my message to her re: our Mother's Day trip to Cape May, NJ), also left a note on Mouseking's pg. re: same trip. Haven't heard from you - is all OK? Per your post - yeat JJ is getting on my nerves, but then so is Kyle Busch. RG is still in the top 35 by some miracle - they are doing everything to him points deductions, pit road penalties, but good for him he overcomes adversity. Hi Gibby - glad to hear from you. The trip was good just to get away - I hadn't had a vacation in 3 years. I have 2 weeks & 3 days due - so I plan to take off in the early fall. I try to do hotels when the rates are lower. Went down down to Cape May one Halloween and it was beautiful, warm, ate outside, and did the beach just like it were July. Please let me know when and where in PA - I'd love to get together. Hope your weather is good, no flooding or tornados, the south has been hit bad this spring. Joan

Hi babe, how are you? Did I tell you I got a new job working at Kay Jewelers? Lots of fun!

The temptation isn't really huge. I have bought 2 pieces - an amethyst ring and just the4 other day a fabulous LeVian ring which I'm using as a right hand diamond ring. It hs 7/8 ct if chocolate and champagne diamonds and is just the most gorgeous thing! Woohooto Robby for finishing 2nd at Sears Point!

It's about 2:45 and I'm thinking of testing the wine to see if it's fit to drink!
