Oh Mario - I'll never get the points thing -- he finished 8th & stays the same, he finishes 30 and comes up one. Now that is just not logical. Hated to see him blow that tire, I was afraid he would not finish - it blew apart and ripped up the fender. Joan
  • Joan Forsythe

Thanks again - you must be some kind of genius to know how to to that!!
Glad RG came up even if it was just a +1. He finished last season 26th last season and after Walter came on board, dropped like a ton of bricks. Some people thought he should pay heed to Walt, but maybe his 30 years experience was just that - outdated. Joan
  • Joan Forsythe

Hi Mario - Don't try to explain how - but I am just so thankful Robby is still in the top 35 after a 40th place finish on Sunday. I ended up rooting for Jr., but he just didin't have the ability to pass JJ. It's ironic that Kyle had more problems this weekend and may even drop out of the top 12. That must be a bitter pill to swallow after winning all those races. Keep in touch. Joan

Mario, how goes it?? What's new?? Long long time no see, poker?? Where at??
  • racefanrobin

I had to uninstall NLOP, kept crashing my computer, it's much better now that I took out the program. I play on MySpace, the Poker Palace, you can see which of your "friends" are online playing and you can link to them at their table, I have played with a couple of old VLP'ers that are on my friends list. I finally found a job here in Portland, makes all the rain a bit more tolerable. Enjoy the Baja and roll them strikes!!

Hi Mario - like the changes on your page. Have a good holiday season. Hope you are well and all is good with you. I rely on you (my statistic man). Take care - will be back on the Planet ready for Dakar!! Joan
  • GrayAntiMatter

    So how was Turkey Night?
  • Ryan Dexter

Have A merry Christmas Mario and a happy new year.
  • Ryan Dexter

Are you ready for Dakar 2009 Mario, do you think Robby is going to go all-out to win even though they never been to Argentina before?
  • Beccy Gordon

hey Mario. Where are you tracking the rally? I'm on the Dakar site but don't see the times you posted... HELP!
  • Ryan Dexter

what position is Robby's second hummer in?
  • Ryan Dexter

Robby's team is really improving so far in the Dakar after finishing 3rd in stage 5 and 7th overall I think he's got a chance of winning.
  • zoomsss

    Thank you Mario, very much.
Just when navigating that site seems effortless, the race is over. Thanks for the refresher.
Now, if we could find 'general standing', we might know about 'open class' and 'production. Another driver was mentioned in one of the last stages as winning 'production', so there's at least 2 there.
I seem to recall there being different classes listed in years past withing 'Cars'? I think I've clicked on everything possible, nada so far.
  • Joan Forsythe

Hi Mario my math genius - how are you ? I am checking the site and heard RG lost his gears - any new word on if he made it all the way today or had to be helped. If I know Robby - he does not want a DNF - he'd push the thing to the finish line himself if he could. Joan
  • Joan Forsythe

Thanks Buddy - I can't wait to get home and watch the recap on VERSUS. Joan
  • racefanrobin

I got the Womans shirt, it's beige and has the logo on the upper right side.........very nice lightweight cotton, do NOT put it in the dryer unless you want it to shrink. I loved getting a package from France, the shirt is most definetly my ner favorite!! Wish I could have afforded more, those Euros need to be worth less in the conversion!!
  • TOG

    10-4.thanks for the heads up.
  • mike mulhern

is that supposed to be a pix of mw?
  • Joan Forsythe

Third overall!! He could have won, but to have both in the top 15 was really terrific. This planet did a great job and I watched the recaps on Versus - truly a thrill to watch! Hope you enjoyed the Dakar coverage too. Joan
  • Ryan Dexter

I Can't Belive Robby Is In The Shootout For The First Time.
  • Christopher

My Dad can customize cars. (diecast cars) It's kinda his hobby. It's pretty neat, we have 2 RG Trophy Trucks, and he is in the works of more.
  • Christopher

It's only a reflection. My Dad is working RG 2006 Red Bull Trophy Truck and a Mecerdes Dakar Support Truck. We also have the MAN suport truck, you can kinda see it in the Hummer H1 support truck photo
  • Ryan Dexter

Hey Mario Hows It Going, I Haven't Been On For A Long Time But I Am Coming Back For The 2009 Season, Too Bad The Shootout Was Cut Short Because Of The Early Accident With David Ragan and others. At Least He Will Now Be In A Toyota And Should Improve This Season.
  • Ryan Dexter

Dale Jr. Should Have Been Patient When Passing Vickers And That Would Have Gave Robby A Good Finish To Start The Year Off. But I Expect Robby To Run Well In His Hometown Of California.
  • Joan Forsythe

Mario my math man - hi how are you. Well the season got under way, not to my liking, but hey it's only the 1st race. Glad Matty won. I have a quetion for you. Robby obviously had car trouble and was pitted. But later (just before Jeff Gordon had hit the pits) the commentator said Robby was a lap down, Jeff went a lap down, and was given the lucky dog. If Robby was already a lap down wouldn't he be the lucky dog? Joan
  • Joan Forsythe

Oh! Thanks, I knew you'd have the answer. My go-to guy. Hope you are well and enjoying life. Best Wishes, Joan
  • Ryan Dexter

Look At This Way Mario, Its A New Season, A New Toyota, Trd Support that helps The Toyota Teams out And A year Of Surprise, Well Maybe lol.
  • Joan Forsythe

Hi Mario - I was just looking on the NASCAR pg. Robby is 29th in points, but 36th in owner pts. Is that correct. If he is below the 35 after this race does he have to qualifyevery race in the go or go home bracket? It doesn't seem fair. Joan
  • Garrett Gleason

I can send you a burnt one for free if you dont turn me in and give me your address.
  • Joan Forsythe

That's what I thought but NASCAR statistics Rank 36 for Robby with Menard ranked 35. It does say he's 29 in pts. standings - but then why a rank of 36? You understand this stuff so much better than I - It's boggles my mind. Joan
  • Joan Forsythe

    On NASCAR.COM, in Standings he's 29th in Ratings he's 36th. Joan
  • Joan Forsythe

Thank you genius - it is a little different to read than last year. I like the new NASCAR format, but last year they had the pts. & owner pts. together. I guess that was what was in my mind. Also - I really don't understand Kenseth being down so far with two wins to his credit and Jeffy leading the points with no wins. I guess that is laps, etc. too. I don't know how they sit and figure all this out. It's way too much for me. Joan
  • Joan Forsythe

Well I know they get bonus points for leading laps, and so many pointsfor this and that. How to keep it all sorted out, I leave to NASCAR. (Not that I trust them all that much - I think they are biased). And it seems that they always find a way to throw a caution or something so that the Hendrick people, or Edwards get their laps back. Anyway, I'm glad Robby is 29th and hope he comes up more after Bristol - if he doesn't hit the wall or get caught in the BIG ONE Joan
  • Joan Forsythe

Mario my man - Robby did so well at Bristol I thought he'd come up in points - but he dropped to 30th. Please explain- if you can. Thanks. Joan
  • Ryan Dexter

What A Great Restart For Robby Yesterday To Bad He Was More Than A Lap Down. That's Pretty Bad That Kyle Busch Couldn't Keep Up With Him For A Little While!!!! What A Bad A** Robby Gordon Is. He Also Didn't Let Kevin Harvick Pass Him.
  • Joan Forsythe

Oh you are a genius!!! Thanks, I'm printing that out in hard copy. It helps me figure out what's going on. I thought Robby did a good job, although at one point he went from 24th to 35th & I don't have a scanner so I have no clue what happened. He did get a good finish after that adversity. Joan
  • Joan Forsythe

Well lets just see what Robby does at Martinsville - he may have a DNF and I will be devastated. Joan
  • Joan Forsythe

Sorry to hear you lost your Dad. We all go through this and it's hard. My boss lost both his parents in the last 2 yrs. to lung cancer. The hardest funeral I went to was this April, one the associates here in the office lost his 17 year old son. A parent you exepct to lose someday, a 17 year old boy was most difficult and his Dad will neer get over it. Chin up, I lost my Mom when she was 42 and I was in my early 20s, so I know what it's like. Chin up take one day at a time. Joan
  • Joan Forsythe

Hey Mario my points man - question -- How come Robby is still 34th even with a 22nd finish at Daytona. I know the previous week was a disaster, but I thought his 22nd would bring him up. Just wondering. Joan
  • Joan Forsythe

Oh Mario - YOU ARE SUCH A GENIUS - Thanks that helps a lot. Hope Robby can get out of the cellar soon. Joan
  • Joan Forsythe

Hi Mario - I was checking the owner points - seeing who Theresa had left. wonder if she will fill the #1 or park it. Anyway, at the very bottom there was Robby's name #63 Car #204 0 pts. 1 start. I don't know when he put #204 in a race, but it was interesting. I wish he had enough money to bring back the #55 in the Nationwide series. Hope you have a good week, we are having nice weather for a change. Joan
  • Joan Forsythe

Thanks for all your info Mario, I am cleaning up my page so deleted some -but did print out hard copies before that. Don't want to lose the valuable stuff you put on my page. Hope the summer is good to you. Robby's qualifying for Chicago yesterday was the worst he has done all year, he starts 41st OUCH! I didn't even notice the Beam entry at Sonoma, how dumb am I??? I sure wish Robby could do better - if he drops below 35th his qualifying won't get him into the show, yesterday he downright sucked. Joan
  • Joan Forsythe

We will see what happens, Looking back in my files on 7-8-08 Robby posted a Chicago Preview (probably had a bad finish - there is no post race info in my file). He does not post a post-race report if he crashed or something went wrong. I saw tlast year he had a 6th place in the Dayton race in July. Joan
  • Joan Forsythe

Hey Mario - Long time since I've heard from you. Hope you are OK Still rooting for Robby - he actually led a lap at Dega - I was so excited to see him in the top 10 - then the crash and it dashed my elation. Joan
  • Sherri Fryer

Hi Mario , just thought I'd stop by and ask you how life has been treating you . I hope it's been treating you well .

Are you ready for Dakar ?
  • Sherri Fryer

Hey Mario . Good to hear that life has been treating you good . I knew the holiday season would be rough for you and your family . I'm glad that you all made it through , and I bet that picture will have it's own special place on the wall , or perhaps a mantle .

I also hope next year is better, for a number of reasons . Dakar is almost here , and I am ready !
  • Joan Forsythe

Hey Mario my math whiz - how are you? Haven't heard from you in ages. What is up with you, what is the 90 - 09 car on your page? Hope you are well and doing fine. I am still rooting for RG, and he has a book out, not sure I'll purchase or not, $45 price is a tad steep. I know he nees the cash. Hope it does well. Take care of yourself and drop in and say "hi" every once in a while. Joan
  • Joan Forsythe

Good to hear from you Mario - Go to the main pg. of the planet and the Dakar area - the book is there with prices and a 15 pg. preview - which is pretty cool. It's about the 2010 Dakar Rally with photos - script is by Robby. So you are now west of PA - I'm near Phila. Went to Pocono race in 2004 did not like the people at the track very un-helpful to people not familiar with the track. Food sucked. My bosses paid for my daughter & I to go the whole weekend, I wish the experience had been better and I never got to meet Robby because he cancelled his autograph session. He was in the Bush race and was delayed by storms, so he got to Pocono at 4:00 a.m. and was lucky to be awake and fresh for the cup race. Any way good to hear from you and keep in touch. Joan
  • Joan Forsythe

Hi Mario - haven't heard from you. Have you been following the races? Hope you were not bothered by the bad weather, the south really got hammered. Question for you - In the last two races Robby was 26th & 20th (20th unofficial still as of 11:00 a.m. today) However, he has not gained points positions, and when I checked the owner points he was still 36th - how could that be with two good finishes the last two races. I would have thought he'd come up at least one into 35th. I hate to see him have to race his way into the field. Hope you are well, how is the Target job going? I have a funny joke about Wal-Mart, if you want I can put it here or elsewhere. My friend in Florida sent it to me via e-mail. Take care, answer when you can. Fondly Joan
