I do not know at this point how many people yet. With is Flu thing who know? I am suppose to go to San Felipe on the 22and of May. We shall see. Its bad for the Mexican economy I am sure.

hola rene como estas, es una alegria que alguien tan lejos se fije en un cmentario tan pequeño, te cuento que soy de buenos aires y pude estar serca de rooby en el dakar 2009 y me hice fan. me gusan mucho mas las motos y descubri hace poco el mundo de las motos que corren en baja 1000, pense que solo era para autos. hace 25 años que ando en moto, trabajo en moto y vivo en moto, si es de enduro mejor .
bueno algun dia me gustaria estar en baja para poder ver la asombrosa carrera.

I do not know, if I told you that I am a special education teacher. It is the end of the year and it is pretty crazy right now with meetings and trying to get the year end stuff done. I am coming down to San Felipe over memorial day It will be the 22and to the 26th. Chances are I will have to watch my daughter's ages 12 & 15. So I probably will not make it to the 500 unless I bring them with me..

THat's is very cool that you will be with Roger Norman's Team. We will see what happens. Does Roger have a web site so I can see your photos?

Hey Rene - not to be a stalker or anything but I was going to post to Walt's page and saw Roger Norman's name on the page. That is who Rosseler rides for right? A friend of mine at work, her husband, Alex, codawgs for Rosseler. If I may be so bold to ask, if your taking pics, could you include and take some of Alex too as I know his wife would enjoy them. I don't have a pic of Eric...he's tall! I have only met him once.........I don't think he's there yet and I don't know if he'll be at contingency. I'll ask his wife which section he'll be in the truck and try to get you more info. She was very excited about getting some pics of him.

they have plenty of time for repairs and better to get the kinks out now than during the race! hopefully they can pre run tomorrow before he has to go to Reno....i bet you've seen a few off road racers prerunning lately!

my adventures to baja have been amazin! i have enjoyed it very much.....been to san felipe and erindira, san tomas....it's been a few years since i've been there but can't wait to go back some day!

i've been to estereo beach! camped out there and had a couple drinks at the bar.....very nice there. i remember seeing a bunch of robby's toyz around there too, now that i think about it!

and thanks for following up on Eric....when you finally meet him, tell him that i am his wife's co-worker, that he met in Primm. looking forward to pics.........

His name is Eric Brannstrom. I talked to his wife tonite and she said that he was leaving tomorrow at 3am! He's too excited about getting down there as I would be if I were in his shoes!

lol....i have probably walked by your house before! 5 minutes from contingency....u live right in the middle of town! i hope you have a great time no matter where you are! i would think that you could watch and take photos at the start of the race and then take off after they leave and go meet/see/take pictures down the road.....you could pretty much 'chase' them around the course...........geez, i am getting excited just talking about it!

the situation with robby is that he received a fine/penalty for some part on the car not being within the guidelines set by nascar.....there are several discussions about it here if you want to go read it. robby is saying that his car was legal before and after the race so he is going to appeal the penalty. nascar took the 'part' after the race and inspected it and said that it was 'off' by a specific degree and gave him a 50 point fine.....

I was with Baja Dave and Baja Mark, and some friends from Indiana. They came over for breakfast, we headed out together for Checkpoint #2. I climb a hill, fell down a few times on the way up. I got to the top and got the shots. We were having lunch and a dust devil blew the Easy Upaway. Dave has had it for 30 years. We had a great time backto San Felipe to celebrate with a fire drinks and dinneratmy house.

You have a nice page with great photos and videos, you must be busy with all the races in your own town. Keep up the good work.

sounds awesome rene.....so cool that you were able to have a great weekend in the dez!!! can't wait to see some of your pics! my weekend was in no way as exciting as yours......i was able to follow online via irctracking and got updates from terie as well and she said that robby and BJ were going back and forth all day and if the truck's running good, racing in the dez is simply one of the best things imaginable!

You're welcome anytime to follow along or even help out at my pit(s). We get pretty busy and really do everything we can to win, so there's no time to get excited. But I'm glad when some one can take the time to really enjoy the racing. Keep in touch. Maybe next time you should be in a MONSTER shirt. Just kidding.
