Of course it is going to rain! I want to go to see racing and AND I am having a great hair day!! LOL!!! Leaving here in about an hour. Maybe I can bring the sunshine we have here with me.

Just wanted to let you know I got my tickets ordered yesterday. Waited on SSM's friend, but she didn't get back to me. She told him she wanted to go. I guess she can pick one up on her own as there is still time.
We may go to the track on the 1st as my friend Chad is racing that night. He has qualified to race on the 5th, but they are unsure if he wants to spend the $$ to make the modifications to race with the "big guys". I told his dad (he is on the pit crew too) to tell him to go for it! Seriously, how many of us get a chance to race with Kyle B. and the other big guys!?! Wondering if I can find a Stremme shirt to wear. Someone has to show him the love! LOL!!

Got my tickets in the mail today and and a PIT PASS! Guess we will have to fight over who will use it!

Looking forward to tomorrow!! Gotta wear some Gordon stuff as Stremme is going to be there. Did you get a pit pass too? My coworker's son qualified and will be racing with the 'Big Boys". Heard a rumor that Kyle B. may not be there as some higher up did not confirm the date with him.
I will call you when I get to Susan's. Can't leave the 'burg until 1:30 so it will be a little after 3 when we get there.

NOOOOOO rain!! Doing a little dance in the living room right now!! Glad no one can see me! The rain we got (in PA) around midnight on Sat. was really something. Not much rain here, but this area is always different to the surroundings.
So we only need to save 2 extra seats? I remember that Karen couldn't go. Frt stretch is where I want to sit if that is ok with you. Beer Hill sounds like a better place, but I think we should stick to the front. If Brian has any thoughts on what to do or not to do, let me know!

Sounds like a plan. Gates open at 5 for the non pit pass people. Went to the web site just now and it only mentions Kyle and Kasey racing. ??? Wonder what happened to the other drivers?? The story I read is the one on the sidebar. Says things get going at 6:45, but I was wondering what time the events are over. Trying to plan my day/evening. If it is early enough, I may just drive back here at night instead of staying over and getting up at 6am to make it home for work. Do you recall from past years?

WOW long night so I will stay over then! Just didn't know for sure as the site doesn't list more than 2 races. Susan will be dead tired on Thurs. hee hee She is on vacation this week from the world so it will all be ok!

Noise curfew! Hee hee!! Guess they better get those cars outta there so the neighbors don't have to listen to honking, yelling, exhausts, etc. Hey, if it ends so late, we can't go to the Dog for dinner afterwards!! Susan won't like that you know. :P

Thanks again for meeting us at the track. We got out ok, but were stalled in traffic on a part of 83 where there was construction. Got in around midnight and it is only about a 20 minute drive. Cris said they had a hard time getting out of the pits and they were one of the first teams to leave.
Susan is really doing bad. She hit her head in some of the excitement and has been basically bed ridden. She went to the doctors and he gave her a muscle relaxer. She did NOT have a concussion, but a bad bruise. I am going to help her this weekend. I bet we still go to the Dog though. Want to join us??

SOOO funny!! Susan and I were just planning our Sunday out, and I said let's get a hold of Kathy about going to the Dog. I logged on to post about it and you beat us to it!! Let's meet there tomorrow after church. We should be there around noon. I can call when we leave there or we can just meet. I will check here tomorrow to verify!

Had a great time just hanging out today. Susan was anxious to get to see her family as they have been at the beach this past week. Next time you see her, ask her if she ever got the penguins in her car! Concussions make people say/do the craziest things.

Met up with Racingwench and her husband today. WHAT FUN PEOPLE!! We had a long late lunch and I really enjoyed their company. Speaking of lunch, we will miss you on Sunday. I hope all goes well at the 'bingo' game! LOL!!

Don't know if there is a glitch to their site and if you wait a bit as I did you may vote again OR if the cookie clearing make it happen. Tried to clear them a 2nd time, but it didn't work. I will vote from work too if it will let me in. Too many sites blocked there since we spent too much time on racing! Told you I worked with great people! LOL!!

Susan was fantastic!! She was nervous, but everyone compimented her. Went to the Dog again today, of course!! No 'Dakar' and no shelf boobs either. Think I will buy a push-up bra and some cologne so I can always have the memories!! LOL!!

Susan called earlier and it seems she has a touch of the flu. We are both hoping it is only a 24hr thing. Odd thing is her sister said she is only coming up Fri. night and then leaving Sat. WTH??? The whole point was for everyone to join Joyce at the horseshow.
In other news, Cris said there will be 4 series racing on Sat. night if it does not rain. Chad will be racing his own car and the 55 too. Bet you know where I would rather go. Much more 'horse' power there!!

I'll let you know if a trip is planned to PA next weekend. Susan and I talked about it, but it depends on how she feels. Reminds me I have to get her a new WVU sweatshirt tomorrow while I am out running errands. Don't forget to wear yours on our next outing. Maybe we should go on Sat. since the college games are on then. Too funny, the invasion of the WVU women in the PA sports bar while we get 'pissy' over not being able to watch the Nascar race. Susan in the emergency room today. She felt so bad she didn't even make it to the Dog for lunch yesterday. (You know it is serious then!) I am hoping to get up there this weekend. I'll keep you posted.

Her daughter called a bit ago. They are admitting Susan. She is to meet with the surgeon tonight as well to go over options. As it stands now, I will be in PA Friday night. I will take Sat. off work to be there to help her. I will keep you up to date as I get the information. Guess I should go into email mode so I can update everyone at once. Several of my friends here know her so it was just as easy to post. She thought it was funny she was a topic of some posts here. Told her this was better than Facebook! Maybe I can get her to join her as well. Robby is not her favorite driver, but she thinks he is cute and she wishes him well in races. That's more than some people here do!

As of this writing we are planning a Sunday trip to the Dog. We may have to move it back by a half hour as Susan might have a quick errand. I'll call you and let you know. Invite Karen if she wants to go. See you tomorrow!

We didn't go to the Dog after church. Instead we went during the race. Had to INSIST they put the race on tv. I mean, we did football yesterday!!! Anyway, we all got different stuff to eat. Imagine, Susan without wings?? Had the same waitress and she was just as bad. Ask Susan how much hassle it was to get a ginger ale. Amanda just went for the gusto with a Long Island ice tea. OH the happy dance was performed when JJ wrecked.
Have to tell you the Pastor wore an Ohio State tie today. Too funny! We wore red in honor of your team. Well actually it worked out that way, plus it sounded good! ;) Hope you have a great week! Go WVU and 'Bama!!

Going shopping later this week. Remind me about the shirt you want. Size L so you can wear stuff under it and blue like Susan's- correct?? They have long sleeve T's, short sleeve T's, jackets, hoodies, and the odd 'pink' ones. Oh and then there are the pajamas and underwear too. Maybe we can do a jammie night at the Dog!! Inivite Karen! You know if they had the 'footie' kind, I just might buy some!

Hee hee We have matching jammies now!! I didn't see this when I called you from the store. In fact I didn't see this until I was leaving, but there was a # 7 shirt that would match the jammie bottoms. I may go back and get it.
BTW, I just love the word jammies. Makes me feel so silly and childish!

Glad you had fun and made it home safely! We missed you on Sunday. We went later in the day as Susan had a meeting after church. Got to wear our WVU stuff, esp. after the Pitt game, the next time we go. Don't think we are going this weekend as I can't leave the 'Burg until 1'ish as my church is having a celebration for a staff member who is retiring after 45 years of service. Thinking of making some lasagna here and then taking it up to Susan's for dinner. BTW- so far so good on the treatments. Can't wait to see the pictures!
