Hi. Yes I know where Huff N Puff used to be. I live in the High Bridge area. No Glen this year as I was away on a trip to Hilton Head. Hope to make it there next year. That is the best place to watch race if you are a Robby fan. We will have to hook up if you go out next year.

Yes the Glen is fun but I have not been to any other type of race other than the Nascar ones. I do want to make it out for the IRL race but timing has never been good. Some day I will.

Hi Lynda ! Yes , I did get your comments after the BD song . The Sharks lost in another shootout . They play tomorrow night against St Louis at 8PM , and again on Sunday night at 7PM against Chicago .

Harvick just won the race and Hornaday is the champion . Whatever . I had hoped Matt would do better . Oh well .

I think watching off road on that TV would be almost like being there . You're right about moving to avoid rocks , cacti and vehicles , plus you would probably be holding your breath a lot of the time . LOL I believe that intimidating looking people are some of the nicest , kindest people you could ever want to know . =)

As far as the Fla &.Pa.thing goes, my ex lives in Pa.where she is from, with my 3 year old son and I am from and live near Miami where I have a good job with very good health insurance.It is very hard to be away from my son but I feel it is a better environment for him to be raised in. Are you from NY or are you a transplant? Billy

This years championship race was pretty much over a long time ago . Makes me wonder what it would have been like if Johnny Benson had been involved in it .I'm not a Harvick fan either . I think you have to keep in mind that Robby could just be playing his 'cards' close to his chest on this sponsorship thing . He's a smart businessman , and I feel that he'll be fine next year .

As for the not judging a book by it's cover , when people see me they for one reason or another get the impression that I'm mean . I can't help it that I'm not one of those who go around with a smile on my face all the time . LOL Too many out there are too quick to judge others based on outward appearance , when they should be looking for what is on the inside , which IMHO is the most important .

Sorry it took a while to get back to you.To answer some of your questions:
I get to see my son about once a month,depending on my schedule.He will be coming down to Fla. for Thanksgiving, Yea!
What I do for a living is somewhat unique and complicated:Right now I am the Lighting Electrician for an inernational touring ballet company. We travel with 3 semis and I am responsible for the set up and programming of about 400 lights and some times driving one of the trucks. I fabricated a lot of the racks and road cases for them that is how I got in to welding ( boy do I wish I had a welder when I was about 14 LOL) I also work for 2 other companies doing theatrical equipment installations in theatres and arenas etc.
I guess you could call me a "Robby Fan" because I like every thing he does.and how he builds all of his vehicles in house. I have been lucky enough to meet him a few times and he is very down to earth.
Unfortunately I won't be able to make it to Homestead but its not one of my favorite tracks anyway even though its so close I usually get to see the haulers go by on the turnpike near my house.(pictures). Once and a while I will try make it to Daytona which is about 3 1/2 hours away.
That is cool how you are so close to The Glen (one of my favorite tracks)

Hi Lynda! I completely understand your frustration , as they say , "been there , done that" . =) Things here have been pretty much as they always are , which I guess is a good thing considering the alternative . At least no one is sick or hurt . As for the sunshine , yesterday I saw a few rays of it late in the day , there's been more of it today , but it's suppose to rain tonight and tomorrow . We need the rain , so I won't complain .

I think when it comes to joining any website , you have to consider how secure it is , because there are a lot of viruses& spyware out there that can get into your computer . If you have a really good virus protection system, then you'll be okay . I would like to see a game or a race on a big screen TV . The closest I've come is going to Wal Mart when they have their TV's on and I take the time to stop and watch them . LOL

People get the impression that I'm mean because when I meet them for the first time I'm quiet and hold back . I'm like an animal I guess , I'm wary of strangers , and like to take a little time to get accustomed to them . I've always been that way , so it's hard to try and change at this time of my life . :-) Believe me , I know an ass when I meet one ! LOL

As for the whole racing and sponsor thing , I'm going to leave the worrying for those who get paid to worry , and whose job it is to find those sponsors . I learned a long time ago that worrying about things you have no control over will only drive you crazy , and mess with your health and well being . I agree with what you said about Robby , I too want to see him do what he wants to do . As many have said , he's like a cat , he always lands on his feet .

This is going to be a very busy weekend for Robby , and I bet he's going to enjoy every moment of it . Hopefully there will be lots of photos and videos of Baja , so it will at least make us feel like we were there . I'm ready for the Nascar season to end , the racing has been so boring and predictable for most of the year , that I'm ready for a break . I'll have time to focus my attention on Dakar and get ready for the Rally .

As for those fans of the other drivers , maybe they sit around playing tiddly winks or something . LOL TTYL ! Sherri

Thanks for the Happy Thanksgiving wishes. I have a few long days ahead but I am able to keep my laptop on to check on Robby now and again. I am so excited about seeing my son soon. His name is Paul John and his nickname is P.J.

The other tracks I have been to are: Charlotte, Talladega(a unique experience to say the least! lol), Indy, and Homestead

I have also been to the 12 hours of Sebring which was neat because of all the different types of cars that were racing and all the cool cars in the parking areas!. I think Robby broke the track record there his first time out.

I favor the road courses too ever since I saw Robby in the NationsRent car a few years back

The Sharks will need to be on their toes against the Flyers , they are a very tough team . I'm watching the game on NHL channel . Hope you're enjoying it so far , though the Sharks need to step it up a bit . GO SHARKS !!!!!

It will take me a week to two to get accustomed to not having a race to watch , but I'm sure I'll have many different things to keep me busy until it's time for Dakar .

Sorry , I haven't been paying attention , too busy watching the game . =) Yes , I saw that Robby is in 4th , and I guess they say he's pretty much taking it easy so that he doesn't end up breaking something . I think it's a smart plan . I agree about making mistakes , they say you should learn from them , but some don't seem to .

I thought Matt was going to end up maybe 5th , but he saw that he could pass those other trucks and went for it . I saw that Todd Bodine finished 5th , not a bad way to end the season .

I think fighting is a part of hockey simply because it's such a physical game , and because of that , tempers tend to flare . Plus , I think it's a guy thing , they have to show each other just how tough they are . LOL

Sharks still need to pick it up , they're not playing all that well . They are capable of doing so much better .

I don't know the exactly why fighting is in hockey , anymore than I know why it's in baseball , at times I think it's to get the fans into the game when they become too quiet . It has always just been a part of the game , only an expert can tell you the whole reason behind it . :) No , I've never ice skated .

I have to say that Thanksgiving is my fave holiday , turkey and stuffing , mashed potatoes and gravy , and finish it with pumpkin pie . For me it doesn't get too much better than that . =) It's nice when you get to spend the day with the ones who mean the most to you .

I'm looking forward to Dakar too . I'm hoping Robby can improve on his finish , as it will start the year off with a bang for him and the team . As they say 'success breeds success' .

Hi Lynda ! T-Day was good , had lots of good food , no strays showed up . LOL Usually someone shows up after dinner , but not this year , oh well . You figured me right about not shopping yesterday , there is no way I would shop on Black Friday ! I didn't see anything on sale that interested me , or that I just had to have .

The weather here has been a mixed bag the past few days , morning sunshine , gray and gloomy in the afternoon . There has been a little rain , saw a little bit of snow yesterday , more rain coming on Monday , or so they say . If it does , there will a lot of wet hunters as that is the first day of deer hunting . As for your problem , I haven't had that happen to me . If you are still having the same problem for that many days , there might be something in your computer that shouldn't be there . Have you run an anti-virus scan , registry cleaner/ repair within your protection software ? What I know about computers you could probably put on the head of a pin . Do what I did when I was having problems , ask TOG or SC . They were both very helpful .

The Sharks got their butts handed to them by the Hawks on Wed. night , but they won last night in a shootout with the Oilers . I missed the game , but SC gave me a report . I had no idea they had a game , but I was really tired last night anyway , so I probably would have fallen asleep . They play again tomorrow , but I can't remember when , or who they play . Darn sinus headache makes it hard to think at times . =)

Hi Lynda! I'm glad that you're still where you're suppose to be ! We use to have a furnace with a pilot light that every time it got windy it would get blown out . Needless to say , we now have one that is pilot-less . =)

I think it's ridiculous what has happened to this country in regards to all the jobs that have been lost because they have been sent over seas and to Mexico , and to wherever else . Whatever happened to American pride in the things we once made here ? It's like looking for a needle in the haystack when it comes to finding things made here . I try to buy American whenever possible , but if you can't find it , you can't buy it . I think our government needs to focus on the people here , instead of worrying about all those other countries so much . Did you see that over 40 million people are going hungry here ? That to me is just wrong , and it shouldn't be happening . I keep hoping the job situation improves , but it seems like it will be slow going , and no one seems to know when things will improve . It makes you wonder how many will lose their jobs and homes before it gets better . Okay , now I am done with my rant .

Hi Lynda! I've missed chatting with you too ! It is snowy and really cold here , the last few days have been awful as far as the weather going from one extreme to another . And to think winter hasn't even started yet !

I sure hope you're doing better now . I'm thinking you just over used your muscles with working on the farm and moving your furniture around . With spasms , the best thing you can do is to take it easy and try to not do anything to aggravate it . I know how hard it is to sit around and do next to nothing , so I imagine you are the same way . =) I do hope though that it's not still giving you problems .

As far as the Sharks go , they've lost 3 in a row , which is not good . I didn't listen to the game last night , because I wasn't in the mood to be on the computer . I found out from Cow how they did , so I didn't miss anything . Hopefully they get their stuff together and get back to winning .

Hi Lynda ! Everything here is as well as can be expected with too many people in a small house . My sisters' boyfriend is back , so that makes for some pretty cramped quarters . As for the weather , it's getting hard to know just what we'll get on any given day , it's just screwy . I like the music from the Nutcracker , especially The Dance of The Sugar Plum Fairies . I've never gone to the ballet, so I can't say whether or not I would like it .

As for your tree , my brother says to drill a couple of holes in the trunk , that should help , of course that means taking it down to do it . I hope you don't have it decorated already . =)

I did see that about Stephen King , he and his wife actually donated $12,999 , as he said 13 was a bit unlucky , so I think his assistant ( I think that is her job title) donated the last dollar . You are right , what a guy !

It got up to almost 50 , it snowed a little last night , but the sun is back out today . Yes , the holes go into the cut face , it's suppose to help the tree suck up the water .

You know , I wish I had somewhere to go for the holiday to get away from everyone , but I don't , so I'll just hang in there and I'll get through . I keep telling myself that they won't be here forever , one day they will be gone . Oh how I wish that tomorrow was that day !

I know exactly what you mean about the neighborhood being so close together , that's the way it is here . There is enough room between the houses to park a vehicle . You can also pretty much know what your neighbors are up to . It would be nice to live somewhere where the neighbors are at a distance .

Hi Lynda! I certainly hope we don't get dumped on too bad either .

I don't live right in town , on a hillside just before you get into town . Clymer started out as a mining town , so they built a lot of houses for the miners and their families . There are areas where the houses are in rows , equal distance apart , like my neighborhood . My Grandfather helped build some of the houses back in the day . Yes , there are advantages to living where places are within walking distance , but it also makes it a little hard to get away from people . That cabin sounds like a a little piece of heaven .

It won't be long until racing starts again , and hopefully it will be a bit more interesting than it was this year . The Dakar Rally should be exciting , and hopefully Robby will improve on his finish . It would be cool to get to see the shop on wheels , it would make for a great tour , wouldn't it ?

Hi Lynda! Still no bear pics , but I did get the funny stuff . They were funny , some a little more than others . Thanks for sending them . I hope you are over the sinus problems , this is no time to not feel well .

There are a lot of neighborhoods like mine all through western PA . There was a time when coal mining and working in the steel mills were the main sources of jobs . I think my grandfather may have helped put the roof on , and he might have done a few other things . My grandfather did a lot of different jobs in his lifetime , he worked in the coal mines a long time , but he developed black lung , and that hampered him for the rest of his life . I can remember seeing him short of breath a great many times while I was growing up . He also smoked , which didn't help him any .He managed to live till the age of 80 , at least I think that's how old he was . I never quite knew how old he was . =)

This weather sucks , we got freezing rain all morning yesterday , which turned to rain in the PM , and it's been raining all day today . It's pretty icy everywhere , so I'm not going outside .
