Stupid ??? Are your kids coming with you Friday? The reason I ask is they cannot eat with us if we go to my favorite place to eat. See there is gambling in most of the local establishments and we have smoking laws as well. Therefore no one under the age of 21 is allowed in most of the local places. If they are with you, we will just have to meet/eat in a 'chain' restaurant. Now on the brighter side, if you are a smoker, the cigarettes are cheaper here than the surrounding states. (I don't and don't have any plans to start anytime soon!) Oh, if you are going to fill up with gas, do so in Hagerstown, MD or in Clearbrook, VA as it is at least 10 to 15 cents a gallon cheaper there.

OK Legends for lunch then! I don't smoke either. You can only smoke in private clubs here. No smoking in other public buildings. If you want to gamble while waiting on your food, you can do that too here. 15 min down the road and you can bet on horses, etc. So a little betting, little smoking, little drinking with NO children around, we take the "almost heaven" part seriously here! LOL!!

NO thanks is needed. I enjoyed our time and just regret we only had lunch time to spend together. Looking forward to the NH trip. You can tell me all about your trip then. I did enjoy the pastries. Any of the ones with chocolate were my favorite. I shared them with Susan and she loved them too. My least favorite were the ones that looked like seashells. I loved the pastry part, but the filling was not the best. Doesn't mean the rest of the group won't like them though.
Gibby and I will be heading out from Susan's which is in PA. We will go North on I-81 to Scranton to get I-84 straight up to Mass. We will get onto 90 to 495 to 93. This is the way Mouse gave us to go. Will we pass by you at all?

Sometimes backroads are the best. Susan set her GPS to get us home. It took us thru Brooklyn, under NYC and then straight thru it to the Holland tunnel. We enjoyed the trip, but it was the most unusual route I have ever taken to get from one place to the next.

Hi, I noticed you live in Rotterdam. I've spent some time in the Schenectady/Rotterdam area. Ever hear of Huff-n-Puff (Insulation)? Did you go to the Glen this year?

It was really nice meeting you. We think the gang had a great time. Jerry and I had fun in Maine and are now on the way home. Northern New Hampshire today and Vermont tomorrow. Hi. Yes, the Glen is fun! I like the fri. races when it starts getting dark and they use their headlights, and of course it's fun to watch Robby tear it up twice in the same weekend! I went to the Six Hours of the Glen races too, this year. It is a whole different place when the cup races aren't there. They just had the vintage car weekend a couple weeks ago, but I didn't go. (I should have)

I don't get out to the Schenectady area as much as I should to visit the family I still have there. Huff-n-Puff Inc. is their business. Not sure where they are located. I used to visit Schenectady quite a bit as a child, and some of my relatives live a few miles from the Rotterdam Mall.

Hi. I almost went to the IRL race this year, but decided against it at the last minute. The six hour race weekend was super cool, they let you walk on pit road till about 10 min. before the race starts, and you can look at/in all the cars, and talk to any drivers around. They also did a demonstration 'pit stop' while we were all standing around.

I never actually lived in the Schenectady area, just visited family there a lot as a kid. Well, actually I was born there, and lived there till about 9mo. old. I grew up south of Rochester, and lived in that general area most of my life. I spent 3 years up in Maine, and came back about 2 years ago. I still have an aunt and uncle and two cousins that live around there.
