I guess we didn't have to wait until Sunday for the trouble to start this race weekend. He really must have pissed off the racing gods this year. Maybe they aren't Toyota fans? I'm still hoping for a great finish and will worry about any additional repercussions when they come later in the week.

Now that is what we have been waiting for. Could never believe we would be so excited for a 16th place, but I will take another one next week too! We knew he was due for some good luck with all the bad luck he has had to endure the last 4 races.

Yeah, I had gotten up and was standing in front of the TV the last few laps. I was so praying there wasn't going to be a last lap caution that he would run into. He was running so hard at the end trying to get by Vickers that he went across the finish line almost sideways. I still have it recorded and have rewound and watched it a couple of times.

I was hoping he could race his way in, but if he races that good in the 600, I will be happy. I won't be around much the next two weeks, I'm leaving for vacation on Wednesday. I'm taking my laptop and will check in now and then. The worse part is missing racing next Sunday, but I will record everything and should be able catch at least part of the 600. Just looking forward to getting away for awhile and having a lot of fun. Talk to you later.

I was at The Old Spaghetti Factory in downtown Minneapolis when I got the message from Twitter, so I didn't do much physical jumping, but I was jumping inside. I am having a great time. I'm glad for a good finish.

We were walking aroung the Mall of America and Richard Petty and Elliott Sadler were signing autographs for Best Buy. I got autographs and pictures with both. I will post the pictures on my page. How cool is that. I've been to the Old Spaghetti Factory in St. Louis as well as other places. I love St. Louis, we had a lot of fun when we were there.

I'm back! I got home about 5:30pm, just in time to see the last few laps. On the way home we had the radio on MRN and I was getting Twitter updates to my phone and I was following the race on NASCAR PitCommand on a laptop with an aircard, so I was able to "see" him move up in the beginning. I wondered what happened after that, because it didn't see like he could gain positions after that first caution. I didn't get to see the wreck until I got home. That really sucks. I hope he is okay and he does better the rest of the week. I can't wait to leave for Eldora to see him race.

No kidding! I was really excited too, as giddy as a school girl. Oh well, I'm planning on going in September. The tickets are still good.

Congrats on the end of the school year. What are you going to do with your summer? I'm ready for a weekend of great racing and hopefully great finishes. It will be nice to actually be able to follow the races from the comfort of my couch with my TV and laptop. Hope to see you on chat later.

He said the car was a POS. They couldn't get it right for him. He got up into the mid-twenties at one point and at the second (I think) pit, they made changes and he thought something was wrong with a tire (it was fine), so he came back in after a few laps. He was two laps down then. He then got one back with the new rules. They didn't pit at a caution and got the wave around, then once the race went green again, he pitted the next lap. They tried it again later, but it didn't work as well, and got re-lapped. He kept saying something was broke, but was running good lap times, even passed others to try to get the luckydog.

Okay. Have fun in St. Louis. I will be at the race in Michigan next Sunday. I hope he has a great car there.

Spaghetti Factory is good, I like the spaghetti with meatsauce. I like the bread too. We also have a chain around here call the Spaghetti Warehouse. I think it is even better.

Looks like there are a lot of tickets available for the August race. Where do you like to sit? I'm supposed to be in Colorado that weekend. Not sure if I want to give that up for the race, but it's something to think about.

Me too, but I'm not sure that would have helped him. He really wants that win, and he was so close today, just more of RG's bad luck. Yeah, I saw how those guys were on the chat , so I stayed at the RN chat today. These guys on here can be such haters. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it. Well, congratulations on the new job! That's exciting. Yeah, I started preparing my husband a week ago, telling him I would be watching racing all day tomorrow. We went away last weekend and were off all this week, so I think that will compensate. I'm having a great summer, but it just seems to be flying by. You try to enjoy some of the summer break before it's over.

Yeah, I was hoping for a much better result. I guess we all were. Seems like he had some good luck with a couple of cautions, but just not the car to make it to the front.
