When did you become a Robby fan ?: I became a Robby fan about 6 years ago....I had never even seen a Nascar race but happened upon the Speed channel while they were doing an interview with Robby.They mentioned "doing the double" and I remembered him because my only racing experience at the time was about 45 years of never missing the Indy 500, including watching Robby getting into a helicopter and heading to Charlotte for the 600. At that time I had not a clue about Nascar , but when the subject of the single car owner /driver and the myriad of challenges it presented was discussed I decided to hang around and watch the race to see how he did. I've probably not missed 3 races since.I don't watch Robby to see Nascar, I watch Nascar to see Robby. My life has been changed, a passion I never knew that was within born because of belief in the dreams of a man who never gives up and lives his life full speed ahead to make his dreams come true.He puts his money where his mouth is and will reach victory lane with the #7 car. He's already a winner, because he is who he is.
What type of racing do you like ?: Yes
Will Robby ever win the Dakar Rally ?: Hell Yes!

Your grandson went to Houghton? In the UP or as in Houghton Lake? If he went to the UP, I hope he dressed reaaaaaaaaaaaaaally warm. Always so much colder there. We don't get too awful cold because we're on Lake Huron, so it helps. Tomorrow is supposed to be a mix of everything here. Hopefully it goes away by Monday cuz my son has been off for break since Dec. 20th and really needs to get back to school, if only for my sanity! Thank goodness we got him Guitar Hero for Xmas, has kept him and his friends very busy! Take care and TTYL :)

Thank you for the good wishes for the New Year. I hope 2009 can be a year for the better. I can't wait to get back involved in the racing news. Drove 18 hours to get home and I can't sleep. Actually, we don't get alot of lake effect snow, unless it comes from the east. Doesn't happen that often, but we get our fair share of snow. I'm about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs from Houghton Lake, nasty area to drive in the winter. You get some nasty weather down your way as well. And if you can give me any pointers on pre-teen/teen boys and their moods, I'll take them. My son is 11 and middle school has taught him to grow up a bit quicker. I figure as long as he's polite in public and respectful to other adults, I can't be doing too bad a job can I? Take care and drop me a line anytime! :)

Glad you let me know about it here!!! I look forward to chatting with everyone and getting to know them. Also can't wait for Daytona!! Now that I am not at Best Buy anymore I will actually be able to watch a race this season. I really felt out of the NASCAR loop last season. Pretty bad when your job interferes with racing.. LOL.. Actually I quit Best Buy because it was interfering not only with watching races, but my kids have to come 1st. Anyway, nice chatting and we will have to get on the phone and catch up. I'm still around..LOL...getting ready for the upcoming season and working hard to pay for it! Starting out the season at Daytona...won't mind the warmer weather, that's for sure!

I'm working on re-organizing all my pics from last season....haven't even gotten to the video yet..and I just dropped off the last 11 rolls of film from Homestead...dang holidays got in the way!

I hope you had a great holiday season yourself! I certainly did....sitting on Santa's lap pays off after all LOL

Just got in a little bit ago from a kick boxing class. NO snow here and none predicted. It is supposed to get really cold this weekend, but everytime I watch the weather, they UP the temperature. I am not upset at all. Keep warm and keep in touch!!

Hi, so glad to hear from ya!! The graduation party is a definate MUST, as it is a huge accomplishment to make it to that point! But I will miss ya! Yes cold here too but I don't have all that open country space! ( wind blowing etc...) I see that we are expecting 2-4 tonite, so more snow blowing & shoveling..... well for the hubster anyway! LOL! Two things I look forward to: spring and when my son is old enough to go to formal dances! Spring is cheaper tho, I just have to get flowers for my flower bed and hanging baskets! :) My son is almost 12 so it won't be long before he has to get all dressed up for formals! He wants to wear a tux so badly. Last year, his class was invited to a bank/shareholders dinner (long story) and he said "can I rent a tux? The teacher wants us to look nice!" Told him a shirt and tie would do. He looks really handsome when he wears a tie. So grown up. I think this is the coldest winter we've had in a looooooong time! I'm so tired of it! Spring is coming tho, the weather is starting to kind of get warmer. Take care, stay warm TTYL :)

All is fine here, Hailey's 7th b-day is this Sat.... Aimee is practicing away with her softball team...... Catechism is OVER for the year, so that frees up Wed's now...... Hailey's 1st year t-ball team has been named, The PIXIES! cute. they start practice in about a week.
