Jay, How far are you from Turner Ashby High School? I should be there 9-5-08 for a football game.

Yes, I plan to attend the high school game there. I am from Nate Sowers/Kevin Pittsnogle country and we take our sports here very seriously. Do you ever attend the local games? Sometimes they are so much better than the professional ones or even college games. No $$$ to influence the behavior if you know what I mean!

I have not been to the Richmond race since 1990. I have however traveled to Richmond every year at the time of the 1st race to have either dinner or breakfast with Bobby Allison up until a few years ago when we stopped getting together. It was just too much on that weekend.
If you and your wife plan to go to this one, let me know. I would love to meet you both. By the way, my son graduated with Kevin. I just have always loved the games so I still go to them. We have been state runner up for the last 4 of 6 years and in the playoffs the last 11(??). That championship just eludes us.

Plans are on to go to Turner Ashby tomorrow night. Are you and the wife going? We should at least say, "Hi!"

Will try to call and connect can't promise anything cause I will be traveling with others so will see what they have planned.

Jay, if you and your wife make it over to the game stop by the "enemy side" and visit. 99% of the time, I am on the top row at the 50 yard line. Orange shirt, black pants (LOL in a sea of orange and black) and sitting with 2 older gentleman. I am a rowdy loud one that doesn't sit a whole lot. If it is pre-game, I am usually doing paper work. If not, have a wonderful time at Richmond. Doesn't sound like they will have trouble getting the race in as planned.

As you have by now figured it out the race was canceled for tonight. We were there early yesterday, tailgating and waiting on the rain to start. We will be back again on Sunday morning in the same location (corner of Laburnom and Henrico). Let me know where you are parking and we will have to meet up. I am with a group of guys, one guy's aunt and uncle and two females that we had me at previous races here. My cell is 304 670 1770.

Hope you are getting ready for the WVU/Marshall game. Know most non West by Gosh Virginians don't quite get this one, but it is usually an intense game for the natives!

GO WVU!!! Good game. Slow start but they pulled it out!! Now as for that Pitt/Dallas game. Who are you cheeing for... wait must be Pittsburgh considering where you live. Grew up loving Dallas, but stopped watching them when Landry left. Did enjoy the super bowl when Dallas got revenge for the 70's games.
