It was a heartbreaker and now we have another day to wait. I have been checking in and out at work as well. Glad Tog had the thread here to keep me updated. Doing ok so far with the weather here. NO snow, NO wind and as I just posted to Mouse- NO problem. Like it that way. Here is hoping for a great day tomorrow! TTYL!

Great news on the job. I will keep my fingers crossed things will keep getting better. I am going to be in and out again today on the race chat. People think I should get work done while I am there. Can you imagine??? Take care and here is to a good day!!

AAhhh hockey!! Smart kid! What team does he follow professionally? I will be watching the CAPS take on Mouse's Bruins this weekend. Makes a great off season sport to follow.
I don't know if I mentioned it, but I work Tues. thru Sat. so my weekend is different from most. Think I am going to get some much needed housework completed. What fun huh!?!?! Have a good one and think positive about today's stage!

Work is fine here. I work Tues. thru Sat., but since I am only "allowed" 40 hours/week my Sat. are usually an early out day. I think I only have to be here until 2:30 or 3pm. Depends on how long I take lunch. You are right, it will seem odd not to have the Planet/Dakar up and not hitting refresh all day. Looking forward to Daytona and the start of the season. As Robby fans, we are lucky not to have to wait so long in between for some racing.
It is about 10 here now. All the streets are white from the salt that was put out the other day, but no real snow ever came. Just a dusting and that was FINE WITH ME!!
I think your son is blessed to have such a wonderful birthday celebration. It also helps to have a great mom too. ;) Tell him I hope his team wins. Keep warm!!!

Things busy here as lots of people in town for the inaguration. Met some good looking Secret Service looking guys or some kind of military police. (they weren't in uniform) Couldn't tell you as I was too busy drooling. They definitely made the town a little brighter here. Just heard from some of my friends/family. They will not be back on the train until 9pm. Guess they are having a lot of fun in DC.

Oh my heaven's no!!! I live in WV! I am about an hour and 1/2 from DC. If you give yourself the "finger" with your left hand you will notice it is the shape of the state. I live in the thumb area. If I say I am from WV, people have this tendency to lower my IQ score, etc My silly behavior will do that just fine sometimes! I actually have the best of both worlds; cheap prices but close to the big cities!

No you did not insult me!!! I used "heavens" as in WV!! hee hee I called it the 'burg as I did not want to share where I was from until I got to know people. As far as I-77 is concerned, that goes thru the other side of the state. I am outside of DC 15 min. S of MD and 15 min N of VA.
I am getting excited about racing too. It has been nice to only have a couple of weeks to do without. Take care!

Remember how the news said we were getting things at 10pm on Wed. night, but all was actually quiet. Well the storm whipped around to catch us from the south at 5:30am. 70mph winds did a lot of damage in out area. PM me your email if you would like a copy of the link with photos. (This will also get you on our joke exchange list!) Hope the damage at your house is something easy to repair. Glad you and yours are safe!!

I did NOT like the race. I do not like Todd or Geoff Bodine. Brett- well at least he has always been nice to me when I have met him... yep, realizing that is not saying much. Nope, we did not get any. NOT A BIT!! Don't know if I told you, but I live in an area where the weather doesn't follow the rules around us. IF the storm (whatever it may be) comes from the South, then we usually get something. Areas around us got up to a foot or more. I guess it is one good thing about being in between some mountains. No wonder all the DC people keep moving here!

Maybe whatever gremlins that were hanging around last night will be gone. I'll watch for you. Have a great day too!

Well lady, I was late getting in from a dinner meeting. As Mouse and I were logging on, we noticed you were logging off. There ended up being 5 of us there with all but Mouse staying until 1:30am. (Wuss!!) We even participated in a 3 way "prank" call. Yes, we have forgotten how old we, are and that some of us have to work on Sat. In fact, I need to finish getting dressed. LOL! We will keep trying.
