When did you become a Robby fan ?: I became a Robby fan about 6 years ago....I had never even seen a Nascar race but happened upon the Speed channel while they were doing an interview with Robby.They mentioned "doing the double" and I remembered him because my only racing experience at the time was about 45 years of never missing the Indy 500, including watching Robby getting into a helicopter and heading to Charlotte for the 600. At that time I had not a clue about Nascar , but when the subject of the single car owner /driver and the myriad of challenges it presented was discussed I decided to hang around and watch the race to see how he did. I've probably not missed 3 races since.I don't watch Robby to see Nascar, I watch Nascar to see Robby. My life has been changed, a passion I never knew that was within born because of belief in the dreams of a man who never gives up and lives his life full speed ahead to make his dreams come true.He puts his money where his mouth is and will reach victory lane with the #7 car. He's already a winner, because he is who he is.

Will Robby ever win the Dakar Rally ?: Hell Yes!

Thanks for checking. Yes at the moment I am in the path of Ike. I'm about 20 mile inland from Galveston on a creek that feeds into the lake that feeds into Galveston Bay. They are beginning to call for mandatory evacuations in my area so I'm going home to move stuff in and pack stuff up and load the truck up in case I get the word. Been thru one Cat 3 cane when I was younger and will never do it again if I can help it.

We will be putting up a new thread in the next couple of days, complete with pictures as to our time spent together!!!!! Path and I couldn't have had better guests to spend the weekend with, and we hope that this will be something that will be an annual occurrence!!!!!! The only bad part of the whole weekend was saying our goodbye's this morning! We miss our new made friends already!!!! Thanks, my dear, and yes, the prayers would be most helpful! Think seriously about coming to New Hampshire next September! This gives you a year to plan! I can find space for lots of people and mouse fires a mean grill so there will be plenty to eat! I'm even thinking of doing lobster and steamers! Hung with Robby at the Draft and we had a blast and so did he! Tickets will not be a problem to acquire. The only thing you'll have to do is drive to NH!

Yeah Jr's my guy. I'm an Earnhardt fan, always have been, always will be. I like to stand out in a crowd though, pull for the underdog.
I made that conclusion several yrs ago at the track where me,& my girlfriend were swimming in a sea of 8's. Decided Robby is an under-rated cat that deserves more fans, so we went to his trailer, to see what he had. Robby was IN the trailer just hangin out. Talked to him for what seemed like an hour, & the rest is history.

Hey, Christy, sorry I haven't replied before now, I am in the process of moving to a new home. I got that picture from the Internet somewhere, and I think that RG is the spitting image of his Dad. I don't know if you have seen the "Extreme" video? There are old home movies of Robby when he was small and you can really see the resemblance to Bob.
