WOW!!!! Thanks for responding back! Sorry to hear that you lost him!!! In a few more years, there won't be any ww2 vets left!!! So sad!!!! You must have very fond memories of him!!!!! I wish Path and I could have met him!!!!! Her Dad flew in the B-17's!!!!! We lost him several years ago! Path can give you the whole history there! Thanks again for sharing!!! TTYL
OMG one of my sisters-in-outlaws(married to one of the several brothers) Dad flew B-17s. He was shot down twice in Germany held in a prison camp the second time for 11 months, she said, till the end of the war. She lost him 19 yrs ago to lung cancer, 5 days before my Father-in-law. My Father-in-law was a B-58 pilot back in whenever, I am not sure. He
served in Nam in 71, same as my Dad. As you can tell, we are a family on both sides of GI's and GI dependants. Proud of it too and proud of how America stands by her troops today. I have some of the best memories of my Dad and how great he was loved by us and all his troops.
