Hello from Bariloche, Patagonia Argentina, what a beautiful place in the world. The sad part is the fact that Tom, Glen and I are not supposed to be here. Yes unfortunately we and truck #524 have crashed out of the race as of stage four that started in Jacobacci. There will be much to tell in my complete post race report but for now I want to let everyone at home know that all three of us do not have a single scratch on us.

We are leaving the truck in Jacobacci, this after spending a day and a half camped out next to the truck in the Patagonian high desert. It took us that long to repair and re align the massive front suspension in order to be able to drive the truck out from the crash sight.

Our plan now is to catch up to the team in Valparaiso, Chile. We have rented a car here in Bariloche and will spend the next two days driving north through Chile after we pass up and over the Andes mountains.

Sorry for the lack of updates but I really haven’t had the time or place to make it happen.

I am having a great time even though things did not go well with the truck. This has been quite an adventure and it’s not over yet!

Thanks, good to get some info on the T4
Hey can you do us a favor? We don't get much updates on how the rest of the crew is doing. Can you check on the health and well being of the crew and report in? My kid is on the team!
"Brandon" I heard from him 2 days ago and he said he hadn't slept since the start. Not even a few minutes. I was wondering how they are all doing. Thanks.
Robby said during his Stage 7 post race interview that the crew was going to get a good nights sleep tonight and tomorrow night. You can listen to it on the main page.
There was one report about the all-nighters they did the first couple of nights, then they changed their routine on how they were crewing the Hummers when they got into the compound. Everyone from both teams would work on the first truck, get it done faster and wait on the 2nd truck to arrive, then split off into 2 teams again, in hopes of getting the teams more rest.
Here's a link to a couple of albums you might like to look thru, Stage 8 & 9, lots of crew pics.
