Robby has a very comfortable lead of 48 points, but does not have the championship wrapped up. Starting the Baja 1000 is worth 40 points, whereas finishing is worth an additional 70 points, irregardless of finishing position. Robby finishing the 1K would insure his championship.

I am sure Robby would not be content to just finishing the Baja 1000 race. He might just cruise as he puts it.
