Comment by Cédric Olivier on January 12, 2012 at 6:58am He was going on?? Nass why you bail Robby ??? Don't be a sore loser and seek not to find someone to blame. Is't a works team like VW !!! Don't forget "You drove the best looking-fastes Car with Robby" :)))
Comment by Bob on January 11, 2012 at 11:46pm Robby said that about Nasser today, after finishing stage 10, and after Nasser had left. So I'm still not sure how he felt that Nasser could have continued.
Comment by Josh Fisher on January 11, 2012 at 11:42pm I'm not sure that when Robby made that comment (saw it on the NBCSportsNet show) that he was aware that Nasser went thought all the onboard belts. I believe at that point his only chance to finish the stage & continue the rally (in a racing position) would've been to get somebody to tow him in.
Comment by Bob on January 11, 2012 at 10:00pm I heard Robby say that Nasser could have chosen to continue running, and finished around 5th, but he decided to go home instead. I thought he was dead in the water after eating all those belts, and was unable to finish stage 9. But somehow you can keep running if you don't finish a stage ?? I thought you were out if that happened.

Comment by Cédric Olivier on January 11, 2012 at 8:18am Don't Angry Nasser!! Thank you for the spectaculer show, you demonstrate us how really fast the Killer-Hummer are :)) good luck next year !!
Comment by Bob on January 10, 2012 at 7:06pm Yeah, bummer that he's out. I've not heard the full reason yet, but it seems to center around the alternator again. Not sure why the Hummer's seem so vulnerable in that area, other than dust and crap getting into the works, but I suspect they carry spares, so who knows what the deal was.
I did admire his "go for broke" approach once he got down on time though. It seemed to me like the way to make a good show, even if it looked like the time was too much to make up.
As I understand he has another ride for next year, but at least he got a taste for what independents like Robby can come up with.
Comment by ROBERT SAVAGE on January 10, 2012 at 6:57pm I don't know if Nasser reads anything posted on the Planet , but if he does I would like to congradulate him on his exciting run and am sorry it had to end today. His driving was spectaculer never a dull moment with Nasser. Thank you for the show.
