ESPN is running a poll. What car make would you like to see replace Dodge in NASCAR? After many, many years of driving BMWs guess what my vote was for?

I would have to agree with some on here. Nissan or Honda would be an obvious choice. They would have vehicles for all three classes. That to me sounds the most logical. Me prsonally, I want to see a BMW M-3, or M-5 for the two classes at least.

VW would be the only logical choice in my mind because of their hard core commitment to motorsports in the past. Throwing a few hundrd million at Dakar proves they aren't afraid to spend the bucks it would take to become a contender in Nascar.

In all honesty, IRL only had Honda till this year. Now, they basically just have Honda and Chevy, with a few Lotus's. I wouldn't be surprised if there are no new makes in NASCAR. It seems like the teams want a pretty large investment from the car manufacturers and I am not sure other manufacturers would be willing to do so.

I just don't see any new car company coming into nascar in the distant future.

Agree. NASCAR priced themselves out of the market for new manufacturers. The cost of entry vs ROI just not there.
