While we wait for Dakar - anyone else think Nascar has too many series?

After following this year and watching very strong teams struggle to find sponsorship....it dawned on me that Nascar could do something HUGE to ensure the viability of their premiere series....

they could eliminate "Nationwide".

I'm not educated enough on what this series does for drivers and teams (that couldn't be done in Trucks)....but if they eliminated Nationwide, that would free up a whole bunch of sponsor options for the Sprint Cup series.

no way nationwide gets eliminated as long as danica is running for the championship. js

I would rather watch Dakar and WRC than Nascar. . just my 2 cents

I suspect the truck series has a short future - a lot of the big teams dropped out this year, I don't think the series will recover.

NASCAR should be a good boy and die. Free up the little bit of sponsorship left into motor sports that are really fun. US rally cross is getting competitive and purse is growing enough to pull European drivers to come here and compete. And there is enough door banging and bumping and running in Rally cross to give any Nascrap fan a bonner.

eliminate Cup.. haha..

I find NW and trucks a lot more exciting a lot of the time... NW has some awesome road courses (road america and montreal) that are always entertaining and the trucks have the young boys with something to prove, so they drive their asses off.. cup is almost too predictable..

unless Robby is running.. then it is the most exciting series out there!
