Having not stood in the NASCAR pits, where does the pit crew get the air for their impact guns? Air Compressor in the pit cart, CO2 or Nitrogen Bottle in the pit cart, Air Lines from the garage or trailer?

Just curious...

From DW's mouth....
Too funny!
That's more hot air than they would ever need!!
but he talks out of his ass
lol..i was just poking fun at all the folks who think that DW doesn't like Robby.....
Nitrogen bottles in the pit cart, I'm pretty sure. There must be a service to refill them at the tracks somewhere, or the haulers may be equipped to do it.
everytime i go to pocono raceway their is 2-3 tractor trailers that says air something on the side but those trailers maybe have bottles in them that supply the teams with possibly
Maybe its nitrogen in the carts, but when they run out, they can swap at the "air truck"...DW's inside the air truck refilling each bottle. lol

It's a mystery....

We have a client that offers performance CO2 and Nitrogen products (tanks, regulators, tire inflators, no air loss chucks), just doing some research to see if roundy-roundy is a market they should be marketing to.
Nitrogen- even my pit cart has (2 bottles)Nitrogen, but my cart also has a Microware.
Cool, microwave burritos and tire changes all on pit row. Crew Chief has got to be pretty happy while you are on the track. :-)

Minus the microwave, what estimated percentage of racers have a similar N2 set-up?
Almost everyone, I've been using Nitrogen on RACE tires since 1982.Pretty common stuff. Thanks for bringing up the subject,I need to get a couple bottles. (Nitrogen)
In cup? All of them would be my bet. I would be surprised if all the pro series pit carts didn't use them. It's gotta be pretty slow using a 4 way lug wrench to change tires in a pit stop. =P

Heres a pretty cool article about pit carts. I didn't know the teams didn't haul them to the track in the hauler. I thought they were like transformers and folded up small enough to wedge in the aisle.
