What would be RGM's biggest prize?
We love our boy Robby Gordon and all his diversity. By being a fan of Robby, I have watched and followed events I never watched before like Indy, Baja, and Dakar. I'm a Nascar fan that became a Robby Gordon fan. I have often wondered, what would be the biggest impact to Robby Gordon Motorsports:
Winning the Daytona 500, Winning the Indianapolis 500 or winning Dakar & Baja in the same year. Any would be a tremendous accomplishment and not out of the realm of coming true.
Robby has won a Gatorade Duel race and has had opportunities on the plate track at Daytona, Robby had the Indy 500 won before running out of fuel in the closing lap, and Robby has won a stage at Dakar proving he has the capability to compete for the Dakar Championship. We know it is a possibility for Robby to accomplish one...but which one would make the biggest impact with sponsorship and opportunities for Robby Gordon Motorsports.
In my opinion winning the Daytona 500 would have the biggest impact...but I'm partial to Nascar.

The "biggest impact" to RGM as an organization would surely be winning the Daytona 500 as this will lend to lots of exposure for the nascar program where most of the money (impact) would stem from for the organization.
The "biggest impact" to Robby Gordon himself would probably winning the DAKAR. From what I can tell he really wants to put this on his resume. The only series he has competively raced in and has not won.

Dakar or Indy.....for Robby himself
ever seen Robby's eyes light up when he starts talking about Indy? Dakar has to be the worlds most brutal race........Robby seems to want that pretty bad as well...
I think the best thing for RGM would be Daytona...NASCAR pays the bills......

Anything NASCAR will give the team far more publicity than the others. For RG personally, it sounds like Dakar would be on his list. Tough to put any of those three ahead of the others though, they're all pretty prestigious.

Robby would have to get backing from Penske or Ganassi on that - there's no way RGM could build & run winning cars at both races.

Robby could win them all in the same year. However, he would have the toughest time winning the Indianapolis 500. Like someone said, he would have to drive for Ganassi or Penske to even have a shot. Then again he would have to win DAKAR first right? Or is Daytona the first race of the year?

From a standpoint of World exposure it would be the Indy 500. From a standpoint of $$$ and all of the extra benefits it would bring it probably be Daytona. From a standpoint of personal satisfaction for RG I think it would be Dakar.

RGM staying alive the next couple of years will be the biggest race/impact. This economy is near impossible to convince sponsers to invest the amount of money racing demands, its all about exposure and unless your running inside the top 20 weekly forget about it. Robby cant even sell a roadcourse for crying out loud... Sponsers are investing in themselves these days as is RGM with KC./Extenze. Daytona would be an awesome win but I think DAKAR might be bigger at this point, Monster would get a big boost internationally from that because of the competition against Red Bull. And I believe that would trickle down to RGM more so than a one off Daytona 500.
