With this being a slow week (still waiting on those Montreal Nationwide peek pics @TOG)...thought I would give my opinion on the UPCOMING EVENTS:

Brickyard 400: With RGM planning to bring 2 cars to Indy, having both in the show would be a huge win for RGM. With last place paying over $130,000 having 2 grabbing nice paydays will help. Indy is a track Robby loves. Robby has an average finish of 25th, with 2 Top 10's. Robby's highest finish is 6th, his lowest was 36th (last year after a blown tire and DNF). His highest finish with RGM is 22nd.

Scott Wimmer: has an average qualifying of 29th. Scott's best start was 22nd and his worst was 34th.

With Pocono sanwiched in bewteen Indy & Watkins Glen and likely to a S&P race. A good finish and points days will go a long way. The #71 and #38 team are both within 12 points or less from catching RGM. Both must qualify their way in and having one, or both, DNQ would ease the pressure.

My prediction, Robby & Brad working together after 2 weeks will have both RGM cars ready. If Robby can stay out of trouble, a solid Top 20 finish is very reachable. Not sure if the speed will be there for Wimmer to make the show, but it will be close 50/50 close...but I think he gets it done.

Pocono: S&P or maybe a little more depending on the points situation...(audible watch)

Montreal: Expect nothing but "ALL OUT" for this race. If Robby can avoid an on track issues and the yellows fall there way...expect Robby to be in it to win it at the end. Always a crazy race...just have to be in it at the end to have a chance. The year has had alot of disappointing finishes, but with MAPEI on the ride and Robby way over due...I think he finally gets that much needed win.

Watkins Glen: I fully expect RGM to have 2 cars again (PJ alert). RGM will insert the Penske powerplant and Robby will be in "All-in!" mode. If Robby can keep the car clean (stay away from the 20), and not get bit by a yellow, he should be in the mix. I'm sure RGM learned alot from Infenion and will make sure they capitalize this time.

Watkins Glen is statistically Robby's best track. He as an average finish of 13th. Last year RG had mechanical trouble and that lowered his average when he finished 36th. In 12 races Robby has 7 Top 5 finishes. If Robby is running at the end, a Top 5 and/or a win will be in reach!

Drink more SPEED!

Robby a Joey have a way of finding each other Like the 2009 NW race at the glen.
I'm going to be seeing plenty of that little wiener smoker (#20) in Indy this week.......I got $100 that says he hates me by Saturday morning...any takers?
so should we start collecting bail money??? LOL
I'm looking forward to something to look forward to thus I am always looking forward
Well, it makes more sense to always look forward then spend time always looking back....
yet not truthfully analyzing the past/history will ensure future failure or limit one's success.
I agree with you there Mike, but you know there are people who are always looking back, and they are missing what is in front of them. It's good to remember the past, but you have to keep your mind in the present, and keep looking to the future. You can't live forever on past success just as you can't dwell on past failures and hope to be a part of the future. The important thing is to never quit trying and believing that one can make something happen. Just my opinion for whatever it's worth......
How come I could not figure that out earlier in life.....LOL
Oh wait what about trying to pass that along to your children.....then they give you that look....
J.R. with age comes wisdom..... or so they say. =)
I first would like to say that there was some talk about some of the guys at RGM not being nice at the shop or something, well I can only disagree, it is a business location and they have alot of work to do but they couldn't have been nicer to me. Thanks again to the guys at the shop, they let me in and let me make myself at home.
The first picture I think tells what the short course truck will be , no desert truck there, it's in Ca.
I saw Robby's name on all of the cars I paid much attention too, I personally think the great job the crew and Wimmer did, he should be in the second car.
They are all working hard to get the job done and get way above 35th.
I really enjoyed my time spent there, the races that night where great too, hopefully they will be back to Charlotte and maybe Robby can make the next one
