I thought the #10 was a Stewart Haas number, but see Tommy Baldwin Racing running the number with Dave Blaney. How do the numbers work?

Permalink Reply by Mike Kenyon on June 9, 2012 at 11:31am The #10 is Tommy Baldwin's(was the #36 last year and locked in,just a # change for Danica). When Danica drives it's a Hendrick's car prep'd by Stewart Haas and CC by Greg Zipadelli.
Permalink Reply by Dave Horwath on June 9, 2012 at 11:59am I knew it was simple! So, Stewart Haas leases the number for some races, not the actual car itself.
Permalink Reply by Greg Jones on June 9, 2012 at 3:35pm I think technically it's always a TBR car, just prepped bySH for Danica. More of the ridiculous BS NASCAR allows to make sure the people they want to be in the races are in the races. In the mean time if you are a poor loner and manage to turn a lap quick enough to make the race but are not one of the chosen, you go home anyway.
Maybe MM has an appropriate biblical analogy.
